Ike Willis owes me $40.00. I'm a little embarrassed to admit this but when I saw him w/ Pojama People I asked about his solo cds on his website. He said give me $40 now and I'll get 'em to you quicker than if you order 'em throught the website. Even though it felt a little weird I gave him $40.00. After several emails and two months passed - no satisfaction. Lesson learned. That's why I say Ike rammed it, rammed it, rammed it, rammed it up my poop shute.

Maybe KillUgly could attach a rider to one of Gail's lawsuits.

Apparently Ike is the king of the fly’s circling Franks music trying to get a piece of the action, I heard he is writing his autobiography "Lard of the Fly’s".

He was the longest running band member in Zappa bands; he's "Joe" & "THING-FISH", he has a great voice, when you hear him play guitar it is like listening to the closest thing to FZ himself.

Don't mess with the Mammy Nun; messin' wit de ZYPH'LISS

I think it's really sad that he can't play with ZPZ.

There isn't anyone in Frank's bands that I don't like! I'd love to meet Ike. Sounds like a hell of a guy. I'd also love to meet The Zappa brothers! (esp. Ahmet)

I find Ikes forced humour irritating - He seems to have to put in those little laughs etc., all over the place and they sound fake.
It's bad enough the way Frank puts in his three 'apeth, but then Ike always feels the need to confirm that what Frank has just said is dead funny in that "If you only knew what us rascals get up to" fashion.
I like the Thingfish lingo, but it does sound a bit too much like he's reading it.....I know if I keep on about Ike I just aint gwine up to hebben, so I would add that I really do like his voice......I always thought that with his fondness for Nike T Shirts he should have had one modified to just read "Ike"

He's done that to several other folks, including yours truly about 10 years ago. Sounds like he hasn't changed.

Disagree- Joe's Garage was originally based on a story told to Frank by Arthur Barrow.

That's not far from the truth. As Kirk and I were walking back to our lodgings we encountered the band at the local am/pm (or whatever). Ike was loading up on mini-mart goodies (on my $40 no doubt). Like I said, I felt kind of weird making this transaction but I figured what the hell, it's not often you get to belly up with your high school heroes at the bar, and after however many beers we're all one big happy family. Like I said lesson learned. At least I got a story out of it.

I gave Ike a nice (nug a bud),as he went on for the last set. So,smoked after the gig, that would lead us all to the only place in town "open". The place for beer & munchies! Ike was just like us.G/L,and most of the band were there also.Thirsty & hungary! They all worked for it.
You see in Shasta,CA. your under the volcano, with north american rednecks to! The band had to head south (in 2 vans) to make their next gig in time. Thanks to KU,when my jeep, wanted to spend the night. (I now call the jeep "no not now").Dean gave me shelter in a time of need! 8)
Oh! He takes great pix of me dancing,I reciprocate with a picture of him talking w/Ike Willis.Should we show them the pix that prove that night the band was tight for the few & the extreme that were there?!
