The original cover of the Trance-Fusion Demos (CD)

"The cover has an extremely ugly charicature of Zappa on the cover of the Baltimore weekly CityPaper."

bought it on the 24th.

It's amazon.co.uk though, I'm guessing they're having trouble getting hold of it. I'm tempted to cancel it and order through G&S

Do it man....I was tempted by the pre - order @ amazon uk, but thought better and waited for G And S. Had it within three days of him getting them in, as always, a superb service.

Play.com have it coming in too, @ £14.99, but they were still awaiting stock last time I checked. For the sake of an extra £1.01, G And S are the better bet Id say.....

Fucking great album, by the way.....

I have to say I agree. it does look better in real life than on the Internet. :)

Who can name the "parent" songs for each Trance-Fusion song?

The ones the solos came from...

Yeah, it's GREAT and FUN.

I say give jayp the keys to the vault and big pot of coffee and $$$ and we'd get about 5 of these suckers a year. 8)

What we need is a CD of guitar solos recorded in the 60s. It think some of his best guitar work is displayed on gems like Hot Rats and Chunga's Revenge. I want more.

I finally got my copy and I have to say, having enjoyed the bootleg version for the last 5 years, the sound quality of the CD release adds a whole new dimension to the album. So much of the wonderful bass playing is totally in-audible on the bootleg copy. Everyone who has any remote interest in FZ needs to buy this album ASAP.

Has anyone noticed that on the credits to Trance-Fusion, Ike Willis isn't listed in the 88 band, and there's no bass player listed for 79?

Yes.

 has anyone else noticed that Ike Willis is not listed in the line-up for the tracks from the 1988 tour?
