Definitely check out the 88 band as soon as you can - those guys could play absolutely anything!

The 88 are great, I used to be more into their releases but in recent years my fondness for them has waned somewhat. My last Broadway The Hardway listening left me kinda unfullfilled, like it wasnt as good as I remembered it. I think you do have to be in the right mood for the 88 band.........

The instrumentation definitely takes some getting used to, but the compositions are mighty indeed.

I still can't get past the synthetic sound of Jazz From Hell. I own every Zappa album on CD and vinyl, and Jazz From Hell still sticks out like a sore thumb as a bad 'un. I can't fault the compositions, but I have a severe problem with the sheer sterility of the album. Oh, and those synthesised speech abnormalities really grate.

Lesson learned - Isis does not like Jazz From Hell. And Germans love David Hasselhoff.<br>

What's the accepted protocol when you have written something that applies to more than one thread?

its just annoying if you put it on more than one.

I agree, but would it be a bad idea to post a short message with a link to the original meassage?

BTW, apologies for having inserted this discussion here against the flow of the thread but this was one of the areas that was relevant to my original message.
