I was very enthusiastic about the ep and Spring Session M. Their last two albums were definitely weaker though. Bozzio made a big mistake of not playing live drums on the second full length album (can't remember much about the 3rd one). He programmed the drums for that. I remember TB saying he wasn't worried about programming the drums because he knew he could play it. You're one of the greatest drummers in the world and you don't play a lick? Bad idea.

ha, funny stuff. I just tried a bit of MP via youtube, didn't last long. I don't have the patience to tune out the vocals and focus on the synth & drums, which sounded alright, I guess.

If you can find it, there is a film called "Lunch Wagon", which is essentially a soft-core porn film, that features Missing Persons. If memory serves, they are billed as U.S.Drag.

The first album was pretty wild...actual musicians playing that New Wave stuff...there WERE notes involved with it! The second album was just electronic fluff! The third really blew...

I remember reading an interview with Frank when Terry was scouting for a deal, and showed up in New Wave garb.....Frank said something like "Wait a minute you used to dress in a leather jockstrap with chains through your nipples, and now you're wearing this"?

Haven't pulled that disc out in YEARS, though...I might have to for a laugh!

The real question is how many FZ fans didn't know that?

Thank you, most FZ fans bought 'Spring SessionM' because of Dale and Terry. It was a good record.

Ok, tossed it on my iPod to listen to at the gym...Actually stood up pretty well for this day and age MUSIC-wise...Change the kitschy vocals out and it's a decent album! Real musicians playing what a lot of sequencers do anymore!

Had to re-listen to U.S. Drag on my car stereo, it's got a cool beat! (that you can't dance to) :smoke:
