I think the limit on a poll is ten options, so I've split this album into two separate polls.

If you come to view, why not vote, too? 8)

I voted Purple Lagoon 'cause it has got long solos.
I can't believe I didn't take Black Page.

This is way too hard for me. I can't vote for this one. THEY'RE ALL SO GREAT!

This may help:

Structure (ZINY version) by Jon Naurin:

Purple Lagoon is one of the two themes that's played against each other in the head of the song. It was the "tour theme" for the fall '76, spring '77 and spring '78 tours, but the special medley arrangement with Approximate was only played at SNL and the Christmas shows at the Palladium in Dec 1976.

Here's a dissection of the ZINY version:
0:17 - 0:36 The Purple Lagoon
0:37 - 1:16 Approximate (O'Hearn keeps playing PL until 0:46)
1:17 - 15:23 Solos, over the Pound For A Brown vamp
15:23 - end Purple Lagoon

from IINK.

The best song on D2 is Pound For A Brown. However, since I have heard countless better versions of this song, I chose to go with
The Purple Lagoon/Approximate

I love this version of Pound For A Brown, so I voted for it. So far, I'm the only one out of 22 voters to do so.

I'm weird in that I like I'm The Slime the best. I like the texture that he gets here, even if it's pretty basic. Also, Don Pardo is great on this track!

I almost went with "Black Page#1" but by less than a hair's width I went for "Black Page #2". (Might just me an "associated memory". I didn't have the album until '84, I just had a cassette copy a friend of mine gave me that he'd made in '78 and tossed aside in this enormous box of cassette radio recordings. He detested FZ!)

Right now it's the mighty Purple Lagoon, but the Black Page#1 won its place in my heart

Purple Lagoon based on the Brecker sax solo alone.
He honks the fuck out of that sax!!!
Simply beautiful throughout!!!!

I love the,
I Am The Slime
with Pardo yelling out,
"We Did It Frank"!!!!!!

And of Course the Black Page!!!
A Written Drum Solo!! In the late 70's no less,
Pure genius

Big Leg Emma for nostalgia!!!

And I'm basing these on how I feel at this particular moment.
But for sure Purple Lagoon is tops
