Due to a forum poll limitation (10-option maximum), Luigi & The Wise Guys has been omitted from the poll. It is a cd bonus cut that was not included on the original album.

If you come to view, why not vote, too? 8)

Cocaine Decisions 3:54
SEX 3:43
Tink Walks Amok 3:38
The Radio Is Broken 5:51
We Are Not Alone 3:18
The Dangerous Kitchen 2:51
The Man From Utopia Meets Mary Lou 3:22
Stick Together 3:13
The Jazz Discharge Party Hats 4:28
Luigi & The Wise Guys 3:24 omitted from poll
Moggio 2:36

Naturally I am flattered to have a FZ composition named after me! "Tink Walks Amok" was pieced together from 2 other titles, Atomic Paganini and Thirteen (the later rehearsal version, not the Guitar album version). Frank was literally making up the arragement as we were recording! I was overdubbing to some kind of click track, and as the tape was rolling, Frank would say something like "OK now move up 2 frets....now move to the A string..." - what fun!

Jazz Discharge Party Hats, with Moggio a close second.

I still haven't gotten used to the CD running order. My vinyl copy had a completely different sequence:

Side 1:
Cocaine Decisions
The Dangerous Kitchen
Tink Walks Amok
The Radio is Broken
Moggio

Side 2:
Man From Utopia Meets Mary Lou
Stick Together
SEX
The Jazz Discharge Party Hats
We Are Not Alone

Anyone have any thoughts on why the running order was changed so drastically?

The Jazz Party Discharge Hats makes me laugh my head off.

Close second goes to Tink Walks Amok. I prefer the YCDTOSA version of Moggio by far.

This is a poor album by Zappa's standard.

I picked TDK because of it's innovation and because it is funnier than JDPH, real sociology...

if you listen to Ship Arriving.. again...

i can't believe you think that is the weakest Zappa album, it's near the top for me.

There's some kind of flanger effect during the whole album I can't stand and I don't think it's so good songs either. No Not Now is great, Envelopes is a cool instrumental but the rest doesn't work for me that good ..
(Off-Topic but what the fuck?)

Well, I really do like "Ship Arriving", but I have to say that "The Man From Utopia" is possibly my least favorite Zappa album. I feel it lacks a heart and a purpose, but that's just my opinion. if you think it's great, that's fine.

I love that flanger effect! and you don't dig drowning witch title track? wow.

still, everyone has different tastes i guess! 8)

who cares if it's off topic, these polls need spicing up rather that just people posting a song title and that's it. that seems pointless to me.
even if i did cross infect this poll with another album.

The only thing that gets me about Man From Utopia is there's no FZ solo!

Is this the only album without an FZ solo? Except Lumpy Gravy?

I love the Steve Vai scat guitar stuff. It's amazing.
