Stolen Moments. A fine version of a jazz classic. And a nice segue into Sting guest appearance too.

I went for Murder By Numbers, probably because of my recent discovery of The Police.

Hot Plate Heaven at the Green Motel. The horns add so much to this arrangement. And the guitar solo's pretty bitchen too.

"I wrote the fucking song. All right?" Sting's intro alone is enough to pick this one.

This is so tough between my 3 faves on the album: Hot Plate Heaven, Stolen Moments and Murder By Numbers but I think Hot Plate Heaven wins by the slightest amount.

Jezebel Boy is one strange, strange song. It grew on me.
..But still, Hot Plate it is.

Outside Now. With a bullet.

When I saw Sting in concert in early '88 (my VERY first concert, I'm sorry to say  - I had pretty bad taste when I was a kid), he did that same Swaggart bit right before Murder By Numbers. That's my ONLY fond memory of that concert, in fact.

Went with hot plate also, but I really enjoy stolen moments and outside now. It was close, but I love the version of hot plate on this album.

Well, Outside Now. It's one of the few 80's rendition of 70's songs that i like more than the original version.

When I first bought the CD this was certainly the last thing I expected. It had a big impact on me at the time and I still like the way the band handles this track. The way it was performed, Stolen Moments and Murder By Numbers seem intended to go together, especially given it returns to the Stolen Moments theme at the end. Mind you, the entire CD version of this album is fantastic. One of the best collections of bonus tracks ever. I don't listen to them like bonus tracks though, I always listen to this album right through when I can, definitely one of my favourites. The CD version of Broadway The Hard Way is probably one of FZ's best albums.
