That is because the version that you have cited is completely different. In addition, it has a different title. The female singer on the single version is Dale Bozzio, the then-wife of Terry Bozzio, who also has an uncredited vocal on I Don't Wanna Get Drafted.

.....and speaking of drummers.....didja notice that the drummer on I Don't Wanna Get Drafted is different than the drummer on Drafted Again?

I Don't Wanna Get Drafted is the original single version recorded in February 1980.

Drafted Again is a remake recorded a few months later for the album.

.....and, now, you know the rest of the story. 8)

You will haft to forgive me Jimi The 45 was sitting next to me when I read this  , I bow to your knowledge. Now that I have gotten my YAWYI out, I see. Funny I bought this 45 in Baltimore at a Zappa concert sometime around 1980 and David Logeman was on drums.

Tough one, but I love Heavenly Bank Account, a really nice vocal track. Dumb All Over and the Meek were in the running tonight too.

Dumb All Over-great solo

Mudd Club-great example (IMHO) of a poor Zappa track. I can't see any reddeeming feature about it. Filler, and poor filler at that. Don't care that it might contribute to the story (does it??).

Do you make quilts?
Does each Quilt have a set of layers
where each act independently and part of the whole?

A black sack dress with nine inch heels should give anyone a clue
but if you need any further assistance in social awareness
I will gladly introduce you to Al Malkin.

I must say, I agree with 'Quilt'. Mudd Club is utterly horrible. I always skip it when I get chance. YAWYI was one of my first Zappa albums nearly 20 years ago and it has always grated.
I love Charlie's, Suicide Chump, Jumbo, and Dumb All Over, but most of the stuff that is contextually tied-in with the televangelism subject I can live without (Being a limey). DAO is just that bit more interesting-great solo too.

The Meek Shall Inherit Nothing has got to be one of FZ's most brilliant lyrics, but I choose Jumbo Go Away mainly for the tiny piece 'Number 6' that's inserted in there.
