Due to a forum poll limitation (10-option maximum), this 41-track album is being whittled down to two polls containing the 19 musical tracks. The 22 dialogue tracks are being left for another time.

If you come to view, why not vote, too? 8)

This album is one long song with different sections for me and everything is great. A masterpiece.
I voted "I Was In A Drum" but everything is fantastic, so don't take me seriously.

I voted Dio Fa. It creeps kids out on Halloween.

I've just never heard anything like Dio Fa, it's a real standout in Zappa's oeuvre. I think I know what you mean Calvin by creeping kids out, but to me, as ominous as it may sound on the surface, it has a real depth and beauty to it. I can't quite find the words to describe how it makes me feel, but it's like Zappa was sharing something here that he normally would have kept to himself.

I absolutely LOVE I Was In A Drum, it is indescribably brilliant. I must admit right now that Dio Fa is the only piece on CPIII that I don't enjoy yet, possibly due to the vocals, I can't quite get into it.

I voted Waffenspiel.

I have only heard the whole record a couple of times, and it has a whole lot of compositions that are multifacetted in new ways for Zappa, and I will enjoy hearing them a lot more. I like the long compositions too and I Was In A Drum immediately grabbed me, but I can't help hearing Waffenspiel in a sad mood, as Zappa's sort of nonconclusive goodbye, leaving his work (and us) in a setting of real outside sounds.

I think it's beautiful. Cage-like in a way.
I thought there could be a reference to Waffenspiel by Stockhausen also. I thought there was a part with that name somewhere in Licht, but I can't find it now.
