Lumpy Gravy!

So hard to get into, but when you do, it hits you and it is superb.

I remember that I bought Lumpy Gravy expecting a classical piece and found myself with a wild collage made of classical music, surrealistic dialogues and weird noises of all sorts. It scared me a little bit, so I made a copy of the CD and changed it for Burnt Weeny Sandwich, which I loved from the first moment.
Now Lumpy Gravy is one of my favorite FZ releases, it really grew on me.

Right now I got my iPod on shuffle mode. The first FZ song that appeared was "Percussion Object 1 & 2" from MOFO. I really like this one!!!

Love the stripped down band sound. Quite refreshing.

I've been listening to Bongo Fury more often then not these days. Great melody lines through out the whole album. It took me a while to get used to Don's vocals, but after a few spins it really grew on me. The tone he mangles out of that mouth of his comes across as the cookie monster on crack but deep down there is a beauty to it.
