Nice. Ordered, along with the Congress CD since there's a slight discount if you order both. About time they give you some deals on shipping too. Total cost $60.25, after promo codes set in automatically.

At first when I saw the email, I was thinking fall '78 band for some reason. Would still like the real meat and potatoes of the Halloween '78 shows. This is the band on the Baby Snakes film, in the last month or so with Belew and Bozzio in the band. There''s really no need for a MOSY box set. If what we're getting is the live raw tracks, and some of the video footage is already on Baby Snakes, what more would you need?

If that's indeed the cover art, yes it sucks. Hopefully some great live shots inside on a nice booklet or something.

Fair enough Fred. I thought it would have been a great release, because really, ya, I think everyone wants a box set of the Halloween 78 shows, and ya..... okay... ya.

I don't like the artwork either and my confirmation email also states that it will ship on or about 12/3/10, which must be an error. However, it's the music which is important here. And this looks like an amazingly good release! So, naturally, I ordered it...and with Greasy Love Songs & Congress Shall Make No Law... and saved a shitload of $$$ (20% off) doing so...

Ordered mine as soon as I found out. Same as Disco Boy, my confirmation email said it would ship 12/3/2010. Well, I'm an Aussie, so at first I thought 12th Mar 2011. I know it says 2010 but logically the 12th Mar could only be next year. Then I realised it's an American date so it's 3rd Dec, but that's still a month later than the email says. Que sera sera.

Incidentally, I don't mind the cover....
I am one of those weirdos who think Studio Tan is the best cover of any album ever!
I love Sleep Dirt too.

Remember .....Uncle Meat? Pretty fuckin' nasty don't you think?
I LOVED IT. It reflected the dirty Mothers just perfectly...those unkempt freaks!
Same with Burnt Weenie Sandwich.
Frank loved "the ugly"

Despite living in the UK I'm not going to the Roundhouse events next weekend, however I may just have to schlep over there and take a peek at the merchandise table to see if this 'lil sucker will be sitting there

The FZ cartoon image was first used in a flyer for the imminent Roundhouse festival.

Didn't catch that the shipping was free on my first pass-through. That eases some of the cost in my eyes. I'm ordering it and looking forward to it. Certainly much more than "Congress".

Hopefully the high price-tag will be contributing towards the ROXY Bluray. :P 8)

My confirmation e-mail just came through a few minutes ago and says: PRE-ORDER Frank Zappa Hammersmith Odeon 3-CD Set (sku: ZPCD99) will ship on or about 11/8/2010.

So hopefully that's been cleared up....

Det må vel være god salgs strategi å ta den med på turne... :D

And to defend you Acadian, Jaypfunk is omitting sales tax. My final bill in the States was $45.90.

Sorry for being so pedantic, but I think it's the Roundhouse. The new Patrick Swayze cd can be found at the Roadhouse.
