Best album? Subjective...Here's my picks for "Masterpiece" albums:

(in no order)

Weasels Ripped My Flesh
Hot Rats
One Size Fits All (any album with a song like Inca Roads would have to be in this category)
Studio Tan
Joe's Garage Part 1, (I'm not 100% on parts 2 & 3)

The album I listen to most and never tire of is We're Only In It For the Money. My dad played it all the time as I was growing up, so I have loved it all my life.
Funny, when you have heard his music from such a young age, you find it odd when people say his work drives them mad (used to get that a lot at work!!). Guess I was driven mad early by my dad then?... :)

I agree with that so much! The album is not only his best, but it brings back great memories too! And creates new ones every day! :)

Sheik Yerbouti is the album that got me hooked to FZ, so that will always hold a special place in my heart.

He has great albums spread over at least four distinct eras. However my favs are:

Mothers early satire:
OINFTM

Jazz era:
Wazoo

Funky era:
Roxy and Elsewhere
One Size Fits All

80's:
On of the the YCDTOSA albums featuring the 82 and 88 bands.
