Does anyone know if there is a jewelcase edition of The Yellow Shark? Maybe some Japanese pressing?

Not exactly what I had in mind, but a good one. :)

Seriously, no jewelcase CD version anywhere?

I dont think I've ever seen a plastic jewelcase for the Yellow Shark. I have the one shown above too.

All versions of Yellow Shark were digipak as shown.

Years ago, around '99/'00 when Barfko Swill wasn't handled by musictoday, they mailed you a paper catalog that had all the Ryko CDs, plus the existing Barking Pumpkin versions. Some of the BP versions there were cheaper than Ryko CDs through retail at the time(like Jazz Noise, ZINY) but I clearly remember Yellow Shark BP version was an insane amount of money compared to the Ryko version, over $30 if I recall right. There was absolutely no sound difference, and it was the exact same packaging. I always wondered if anyone was stupid enough to buy that version just because it had a different record label logo on it.

I don't mind Digipack as long as it has a normal CD tray, but FUCK those faux-record sleeve ones. All my Zappa releases that came in those kind of packages end up getting moved over to a regular jewel case anyways.

I have the CD pictured above and I doubt that I would have paid more than $20 for it... :smoke:

Didn't you read the instructions - you're not supposed to fuck them. They're made of cardboard and will be ruined if you oooze fluid on them :smoke:
