No, never heard of this, but the ZFT email is enticing.

It's about time some synclavier made it out! (What, no Dance Me This? they'll all say...)

I'm ambivalent about the Synclavier. But it was where G-Spot Tornado - one of my top 5 favorite FZ tunes - was born, so in the end it's ok with me. Just ordered mine. Any release that has new compositions makes me very happy. I hope these tunes are indeed tunes, and not noodling......

Looks like a must have - the New York teenage disco version of CPIII?

The title is derived from a painting by John Alexander, it seems.

I am interested in this, but will probably wait for the next release(hopefully a live one), and order together to save on shipping.

Hope to see positive reviews. Curious as to what year it was recorded.

I'm a bit down about it... but when I'm in the right mood I do like his Synclavier work. I'll wait for the pre-order peoples to comment first.

I am ambivalent about his Synclavier stuff. It was exciting when it came out first (in particular JFH). But I can't help think it now sounds quite old-fashioned, and compositionally contrived. At bit like Zappa's classical works which I find a bit aimless at times. Give me Bartok or Stravinsky any day.

But I'll end buying it. Without doubt!

I'm guessing it's from between '85-'89 since it was intended for vinyl. Maybe Joe found some of this while assembling Congress...? Doesn't make sense that anything Frank did on synclavier from '91-'93 would have been intended for a vinyl release.

I'm glad this is being put out. But yeah, I'm waiting a bit. Plus I've been slacking and have about the last 10 Buckethead CDs to catch up on soon.

Secular Humanism and Buffalo Voice are both on Civilization Phaze III.

Mine's preordered. That's not saying much though, I made the decision a while ago to buy all official releases. Life's too short to quibble.
