I have cleon on my ignore list. But as long as I'm not logged in I have to see all this unintelligible, stupid babbling. What is this? "You can't even speak your own fuckin' language." And if English is not your native language then learn some rudimentary skills to be able to do something that can be called communication.

Or stay away from public places like this when you have been consuming drugs or alcohol.

There you go again. If you can see what happened, why the need to get so abusive about it?
cleon wrote:
So your telling me that you have never seen heard or done, lets slow it down so you may understand. When somebody pick up a musical instrument plays a note scale or key then with their voice try and control so they voice or maybe the playing of the instrument to get them in harmony.Which is fine though playing a song and the musical instrument is not supposed too be in harmony with the voice is Crap and that is what you said too do
That is not what I said to do.
cleon wrote:
Maybe you haven't by the looks of things.
Haven't what?

Are you talking about where I said the "was" is sung on F? I wasn't inferring that was a mistake, in fact it's perfectly musical to my ear and fits with the harmony at that point, a nice run of fifths F C G. The opening is very much centred around C and you could say it's C major, but it's much more than that. I really don't get why you have to be so abusive about it. This is pretty much my favourite Zappa piece, is it any surprise I've spent some time studying it?

I see no sense in you saying "That is not what I said to do."then say you where wrong about it anyway.Yes the beginning is around key of C also around Key of G only diffrence the single F#,and i mean come on now You addmitted off notes.

Edit i forgot you ask me why be abessive I just noticed you just Quoted me and left your Quote on the other page Your a Joke.
Don't go on thread because of me You need too grow a pair

My apologies to everyone that has Cleon on ignore. He's too blind to see that I really do genuinely try and understand what he has to say. When I've been able to decipher his comments, I've found that he often has interesting things to say but his hair trigger descents into extreme abuse every time there's the slightest misunderstanding have led me to have him on ignore now for a long time. I made the mistake of checking his reply that followed my first post in this thread and then getting sucked in to try and have a serious discussion with him. BIG FAIL. I won't be doing that again.

And for the record, I've checked my own comments about Inca Roads here and I think the only one that could possibly be misinterpreted without extreme prejudice is "The harmony goes all over the place". That is not saying out of tune, it is just emphasising that the opening song section of Inca Roads may be based on a C root pedal type thing, but many different scales/modes are being used over it. There is nothing "out of tune" about Inca roads, it's perfect, it's one of the most incredible compositions ever. I was bedazzled the first time I heard it and then it just got more amazing as time went by.

Thank you everyone for your vast knowledge on the subject. I'm only 17, but I understood most of what you guys said having to do with scale degrees and whatnot, thanks to my Highschool music teacher :P. What I don't understand are people like Cleon. He knows his stuff musically, but does not have a social leg to stand on, apparently he feels like he has to show everyone else that he is above him. Oh well, thank you very much. I will try to get the One Size Fits All songbook. Now i'm really craving a We're only in it for the Money songbook :P

Ignoring all of the miserable-excuse-for-English commentary here. . . . every single note of the damn tune (and key) can be found in the OSFA tab book. Buy it.

Thank you all for your help, I will be sure to get the OSFA songbook soon. I'm only 17 but I actually understood all of the music theory conversation :D thanks to my music teacher. What I don't understand is people like Cleon that pick fights with people when he could just as easily make friends with these people, and work together instead of working against eachother. Oh well, thank you again.

Fair enough - but you weren't the one asking for the key of the tune in the first place!

I applaud you meanea for venturing into this crazy place. Most of us don't understand cleon either. Good luck on your musical quest. Don't be afraid to come back. Most of these freaks are relatively harmless. :)
