Why FZ decided to delete the guitar solo section from Montana post-1977 has got to be one of the mysteries about this man. I wonder if anyone from the band ever questioned him about it?

There is a rehearsal before the 1979 tour with a runthrough where the band plays the solo vamp for a few bars, but FZ doesn't play. Probably he just decided to cut the solo, and that was that.
