so I recently came across a copy of TTR at a record sale, and listening to side four I noticed BBL is a different mix than the cd version? the song is the same length as on the cd but a different mix.

but i can't find any info about it on the globalia page.

am i just hearing things?

also now it sounds like some slightly different mix of Brown Shoes?

someone help to put my mind at ease with this situation, please and thank you

Really?

You gonna make me hook up a turntable? And dig out my vinyl? And buy a cd of TTR?

Not that I'm not interested but man, you just pointed out that I don't have this on cd.

For fuck sake. :)

Fuck it.
I'm just gonna burn some meat and listen to some RL Burnside instead of fixating on my shortcomings.

Not really, you monster. Way too many words and colours for the likes of meself. I've only recently mastered the pronoun.

Which CD-version are you talking about? http://www.lukpac.org/~handmade/patio/vinylvscds/tinsel-town_rebellion.html

Yes, the Spencer Chrislu remaster is sounding much different than the original vinyl. The original EMI-CD is sounding almost identical to the original vinyl. Frank's own remasters have some problems. But I never liked the Chrislu remaster. It has crossfades that are no good, too.

i just looked at my cd. it IS the Spencer Chrislu remaster.

i never knew about that. which is odd because i thought i had read up on almost all the differences between the vinyls and cds.

listening through the TTR vinyl, Bamboozled was the only one that stood out for me being strikingly different in some parts.

huh. guess i'll start keeping an eye out for the EMI cd version. thanks people

I compared the 1998 Chrislu remaster to a needledrop of the LP, didn't notice any significant differences. Can anyone clarify what is different?
