Fillmore East is the only one of those that I need on CD, so I'll probably pick that one up.

I have a strong feeling these won't be physical CDs, but downloads. What label in their right mind would reissue 60+ albums on CD again in 2012?
These reissues will all be CD and DD titles. I, for one, will never buy a DD so I'm glad these will be on physical CD. I hope they are the same as the Ryko discs I already have because I can't possibly afford to buy 60+ albums again. But I would be interested in any that have new mixes.

I could buy some of them, not for new mixes but for added material, like some of the sessions for Hot Rats, or more of the Roxy show, or additional live material (an expanded Bongo Fury), but I have every CD, all the Beat the Boots, almost all the vinyl and I cannot listen to what I have it is so voluminous.

I cant see it being new remix or new remaster or remaster of remasters they cant be Fucked with the Roxy DVD i think it be going like Pink Floyd"The band's decision to offer fragments of their famous concept albums for 99p each on iTunes"Another band you can forget getting the full enjoyment with SEGUE all too fuck.

Those 5.1 DVD-audio was just for anti piracy

What's written on the Uncle Meat pink/red sticker?
Is it "Two LPs and a nifty de-Face Book"?

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for SACD with both 2 channel and 5.1 channel mixes.

You'll know soon. With so many titles at the same time, my guess is 1993 approved masters, and the only new thing is that they're finally available as legal DDs. Perhaps Uncle Meat will finally lose the penalty tracks, though?

I would be interested in these different edition than Ryko

FILLMORE EAST, JUNE 1971 for the missing track Willie The Pimp Part Two

SLEEP DIRT for whole different remix

YOU ARE WHAT YOU IS for the missing solo on Dumb All Over (who know why FZ decided to cut it?)

Did I forget anything?

Those two halfs of the the solos don't fit together, because in the days of seperate vinyl sides it was never intended to put them together without interruption. Spencer Chrislu connected the two segments of Dumb All Over on the latest YAWYI remaster nevertheless – and in my opinion – it really doesn't work. You can hear speed and pitch change (or whatever) were it is spliced together. He did some crossfades on Tinseltown Rebellion with tracks that were seperated on different vinyl sides, too, with similar unpleasant results. I never listened to those remasters again. My favourites still are the EMI CDs, with all the original gaps.

I assume this is the reason why all Zappa albums disappeared from the usual online stores recently?

Is there any information out yet on whether and when those reissues will be released in Europe?

The most offensive is the crowd noise over the begining of Bamboozled. Takes a away from the whole intensity of the snare drum crack.

The EMI CDs fucking rule!!!

Yes. I couldn't believe it when I first heard that. Sounds totally wrong. I can't listen to things like that.

Totally agree, they simply will replace the most recent ryko edition. Original mixes and additional material usually will be released in MOFO-type sets. Of course i had no problem with a big surprise...
