Hi Frank fans!
I've just got the first pile of Zappa reissues, and have taken on the challenge of reviewing them - in fact, I'm reviewing ONE FZ CD each day. My 'Absolutely Free' review is here, and my 'Freak Out!' review is already on the same site. Wowie zowie! http://www.witchdoctor.co.nz/index.php/ ... invention-–-absolutely-free-zappa-recordsuniversal-cd-review/

Do you mind if I mention a typo? I assume you can go back edit these?

Original: ... which delivers a one-two punch of sustained brilliance that anticipates both the alt-pop genius of We’re Only In It For The Money less than a year later, but the extended experiments of Uncle Meat soon after that

Corrections:

(1) ... which delivers a one-two punch of sustained brilliance that anticipates not only the alt-pop genius of We’re Only In It For The Money less than a year later, but also the extended experiments of Uncle Meat soon after that

(2) ... which delivers a one-two punch of sustained brilliance that anticipates both the alt-pop genius of We’re Only In It For The Money less than a year later, and the extended experiments of Uncle Meat soon after that

Mmmmmm Plastic People, whilst taking a day and walking around, I think you will find that you were watching the nazi's running, rather than burning your town.... bit I'm just being picky

I enjoyed your review, as yet I have no way of purchasing the new new new re re re releases

One other correction:

WOIIFTM is not alt-pop. It's Frank Zappa music.

freak out! was the first-ever double vinyl rock releases, beating bob dylan’s blonde on blonde by just one week

read the evidence here: 1st double album in rock ...

actually the reviews are excellent, the absolutely free review prompted me to immediately give it a spin; it's this kind of review that would entice total newbies to give fz a try, casual fans to rediscover, or other bored music fans looking for something different to check it out

Hey thanks for the pedantry, (m)other people! Seriously, I'm one myself (a pedant, that is) so appreciate the corrections. Will go fix! Meanwhile, there are now reviews of 'Absolutely Free' and 'Lumpy Gravy' at www.witchdoctor.co.nz but that's as far as I've got. So excited to have an excuse to indulge myself in some FZ.
