Wait a minute - I thought that Trendy was the official word on what is humorous or not... :?

Does Humor Belong in Roxy Threads?

That's 3 against 1, you lose. With a little luck, one day you will grow up and be a man. For now, tantrum on ye of so little insight.

Right on queue...AGAIN. And of course, you STILL continue to ignore my points/questions.

And it's pretty sad you don't see the absolute irony of your above statement. Oh well...

The irony is that I was imitating you and you cannot see 'cause, ya see, you come off rather snotty.
I'll let Nick Gillespie & Justin Raimondo get away with it because they can write and are in the front lines, but you? NO WAY.

So what is your point?

I really really really really don't care what anybody says but I'm looking forward to the Roxy it'll bring back a memory of March 3, 1974 Portland Oregon Paramount Theater 15 years old and wet behind the ear

And talk about the Roxy album.

My 2 cents, I'll snag it when I can.

Besides with FZ, I saw George Duke in a jazz show headlined by Roberta Flack. He acknowledged FZ's influence even to the audience there who had no clue of who Frank was...a truly fine person and died too young.

I hope y'all see what I'm gettin' at. If ya don't or feel miffed, go suck a lemon.
I was hoping GD would play with DZpZ at The Roxy this December. It was most likely a pipe dream now that DZpZ doesn't need any help anyway. That would have been cool. GD, DP, JS, NMB, CT, RH, RU, 3 Fowlers and that's the rest of The Original Roxy Band...playing with DZ or DZpZ*. Ah, one can dream...

* Or the original ones by themselves for the 40th anniversary of Roxy-Battle of the bands!

No and yes, but I haven't heard any funny stuff here. It's more like a boring ping pong match. :|

From the Oxford English Dictionary, considering Disko Boy's love of lexical definitions --

Definition of cue in English

Pronunciation: /kjuː/

1a thing said or done that serves as a signal to an actor or other performer to enter or to begin their speech or performance:
she had not yet been given her cue to come out on to the dais
•a signal for action:
his success was the cue for the rest of Fleet Street to forge ahead
•a circumstance or piece of information which aids the memory in retrieving details not recalled spontaneously.
•Psychology a feature of something perceived that is used in the brain’s interpretation of the perception:
expectancy is communicated both by auditory and visual cues
•a hint or indication about how to behave in particular circumstances:
my teacher joked about such attitudes and I followed her cue
2 [mass noun] a facility for playing through an audio or video recording very rapidly until a desired starting point is reached. verb (cues, cueing or cuing, cued)[with object]1give a cue to or for:
Ros and Guil, cued by Hamlet, also bow deeply
•act as a prompt or reminder:
have a list of needs and questions on paper to cue you
2set a piece of audio or video equipment in readiness to play (a particular part of the recorded material):
there was a pause while she cued up the next tapePhrases
on cue
at the correct moment:
right on cue the door opened
take one's cue from
follow the example or advice of:
McGee did not move and Julia took her cue from him
Origin:
mid 16th century: of unknown origin

Spelling help
Cueing is usually spelled with an e, although cuing is also correct.

Do not confuse cue with queue. Cue means 'a signal for action' (the announcement was a cue for the crowd to gather) or 'a long wooden rod', whereas queue means 'a line of people or vehicles' (I joined the end of the queue).

I know that DC Boogie and you know that, but this is coming from a guy who doesn't understand the difference between a recession and a depression.

Love the imagery! That would require a properly placed comma for context then. As in: "Right on, queue (motherfuckers)!"

He will say you have no proof. This is just a random internet source on the English language. In Canada, where Obama bailed out many socialist banks, they spell it as 'queue' also. You have not falsified that! (Sarcasm intended.)

For calvin2hikers: Baby Snakes DL, official release 95. Understanding America. And I held out for more than twenty years on many titles from the Eighties. And. This is the Roxy bullshit thread. You're welcome to post more bullshit here. Please don't contaminate the other thread. It's in danger of becoming another BS zone, since jaypfunk came right on cue with his usual bullshit. Don't let it happen again. You can call me thread police here. Or whatever.

This argument will later be referred back to by him as an example of him providing compelling/overwhelming evidence that you have chosen to foolishly ignore. If you're lucky, he'll then put you on ignore.

I know you mean well DC, but I hate that mentality of segregated threads. Kinda makes me wanna go shit all over your imaginary clubhouse. But, I won't cuz I don't need to be a cop any more than you. No one needs you telling anyone how to post where. "Contaminate the other thread"? "Thread police"? Hahahahaha, hilarious.
