Which of the Zappa 2012 remasters sounds best, according to you? :)

I only own four so far (the fifth one is on it's way), and I must say that out of those, The Grand Wazoo sounds the best. It sparkles with life. But I bet that albums like One Size Fits All and Sheik Yerbouti sounds even better.

(If this post is shit and there's already a thread like this, then ignore this one. ;))

Compared to what?

For several reasons, Chunga's Revenge is the one I play the most.

Sorry. Compared to older editions, compared to the other new 2012 remasters, etc. :)

I think Zoot Allures might be the the best one so far. I've never liked the sound of that album, but the remaster sounds pretty good. Waka Jawaka is also noticably better. I've go about 15 or so of the remastered albums so far.......

Zoot is another favorite of mine. Might be checking it out soon. :)

I thought One Size Fits All really caught my attention. It sounded phenominal.

Fillmore East '71 and Weasels Ripped My Flesh seem to be the biggest upgrades over the Ryko versions. Really, though, every single remastered one has been a significant improvement over the Ryko, IMHO. The only remastered ones I don't have yet are BWS, Studio Tan, and Sleep Dirt.

The one that surprised me the most was SUAPYG. I knew it would be better than the Ryko (either version), but I was surprised by how much. This has always been my favorite FZ album, going back to the 3-LP boxed set, and it's nice to have him sound again like he's playing in the same room as the band.

I've just ordered that one, and I have great expectations.
