Hmmm - not so sure I believe that. My ears tell me it's either Lowell or Motorhead.

Didn't I read somewhere that it was Lowell George that did those faux German impersonations?

I see that IINK lists Sleazette as "Sleeping in a Jar" guitar solo.

On some reason I've always suspected that "Get A Little" is in fact also a "Sleeping in a Jar" guitar solo. Except that the tapes of that concert have not been circulated among the traders.

It is. The circulating tapes from this London show prove this. "Get A Little" is most likely also from that song as you mention.

The version from Royal Festival Hall 68 also had an E minor guitar solo at the end, but FZ left it off Ahead Of Their Time.

If I read IINK right, "German Lunch" has Lowell doing his German act and JCB saying "hands up!" Time to listen to that cut again, I guess.

So that discordant outro that segues into Let's Make Harry Orange Oh No medley was simply a result of a FZ tape edit? It must've come from one of these noise improvs. Usually Let's Make commenced with a simple count-in and the opening chord (minus of course Ian Underwood's piano flurry as on WOIIFTM).

Basically he just threw some hand signals and other silliness into that "Sleeping In A Jar" theme at Royal Festival Hall, and other shows from that era.

I really hope that the supposed 2LP comes with a digital download option. Probably won't happen though.

The Subcutaneous Peril - alternate edit of material from Carnegie Hall

For those who are interested in where this material was culled from on Carnegie Hall:

The first 3:41 is from "A Pound For A Brown" and the rest is from "King Kong". A good amount of razor blade edits in this one.

Very cool. Not sure which release I like more yet. 2 CDs is much more manageable than 4. and I haven't heard Road Tapes, Venue #1

A review of FM from AMG. There are some errors, some of which are understandable, if you're not as hardcore about checking out all the factoids. I mean, could one really know better that "Curiosity Shoppe" contains solos from "Billy the Mountain" and not "Little House", let alone if "Little House" was ever played live like on BWS? Just check out this Francois Couture guy who writes reviews for FZ' songs, a lot of his factual statements for each song (though even he makes mistakes) directly derive from familiarity with bootlegs (e.g. that and that song was premiered on that and that tour). The Royal Albert Hall show error is a little harder to account for. Has this guy not heard "Ahead of Their Time" and disc one of "YCDTOSA 5" to be aware that FZ did play more than once at the RAH during the Sixties?

The 1968 "Ahead Of Their Time" gig was at Royal Festival Hall. The Mothers played at Royal Albert Hall in 1967 and 69.

Okay, right. So this means that the show used for the UM film was filmed at the RFH. Incredible how RAH and RFH get mixed up.
