I just called in for this. It took around 20 minutes and three phone calls to (probably) get it done.

To be more positive, the rep who handled it in the end was polite and gave her extension if I need to call back.

Sorta like Dylan when he sing/talks: "Most likely, you'll go you're way and I'll go mine." Fair enough. If you left this forum I would miss you man.You explain why you don't like something quiet well.I just can't remember you liking something and explaining it with the same astute observations as something you didn't like.

I praised the remasters for instance.

At least the common sense is a huge amount of liking FZ and his work. Otherwise we wouldn't be here all the time.

I just got off the phone w/ Amazon fighting with them over their pricing, and several back and forth via email, got both FM and UA for $29.31US shipped. I finally got them to forward a message to their purchasing department that they need to work with UMe to get better pricing like everyone else.

Seriously Thinman, you need to let go of your pickle. Zappa died prematurely. One of the defining aspects of his art was that he was so much into recording his work and hence there's a lot of stuff still worth looking at. Yes, he gave us the best while he was alive, but all this other stuff is still of huge interest to me as an artist and I investigate it for what it is. It's pointless holding it up to the mirror of his own highly refined output and that's not why I continue to buy this stuff, whatever comes out. If he really was done with it, why did he go to so much trouble to archive it?

Sometimes there's a run-of-the-mill piece discovered by a famous composer. It may have never gotten published by artist's discretion, but be sure that if it's by Mozart there will be an official release in no-time. The same goes for books: we're not all massively rejecting Gogol's masterpiece Dead Souls because Gogol wasn't very fond of it and never wrote an ending he liked: he penned several, but burnt all of them.
And what about Kafka? We wouldn't have had most of his work if Brod had followed his commands.

In other words: Thinman, I respect your opinion, but it's wrong.

I would never say that I am right or you are wrong. It's just opinions.

I'm not a fan to that extend (as some here) that I would buy and fetish any fart just because FZ recorded and archived it and the ZFT releases it.

And I do not think that Frank Zappa was the greatest composer, guitar player or whatever. Nor would I think that somebody else is.

Wouldn't this go over better on....let's say The Who's site? It would upset a larger demi-graphic and everyone would say "Who Are You Th.."Who,who?" "Who,who?"
Enquirering minds gotsta' know bro'."

As far as I know now:

Mozart Sonata - shorter edit on YCDTOSA 5
You Never Know Who Your Friends Are - may be a longer edit of "Harmonica Fun" from Mystery Disc
Uncle Rhebus - alternate edit of "King Kong" from The Ark
The Big Squeeze - same as Lost Episodes
There Is No Heaven... - alternate edit of "You Call That Music?" from YCDTOSA 4
Skweezit - same as Mystery Disc
The Subcutaneous Peril - alternate edit of material from Carnegie Hall
