You, Sir, have just earned yourself 14 Bazooka Joe gum wrappers! Provide me with pre-paid postage and they're yours! :smoke:

I have high hopes that The Roxy Film will be shown in theatres and previewed during the Zappa Plays Zappa Roxy & Elsewhere Tour. As far as when the DVD of the Roxy Film will be available for consumer purchase, that could be a longer wait than you might expect. I would guess after the theatre engagements and the Zappa Plays Zappa Tour...... December 21, 2014 sounds nice to me.

The Roxy film was previewed on the .... Zappa Plays Zappa Tour ....., and the clips (which were well over 30 minutes) were on zappa.com for a long while. They sounded and looked nice to me.

FYI -The Long Preview(32:18) is still up and running here at Zappa.com.....

The Roxy film was previewed on the first Zappa Plays Zappa Tour in 2006, and the clips (which were well over 30 minutes) were on zappa.com for a long while. They sounded and looked nice to me.

That sure was something special. I agree that it sounded and looked nice. Roxy previews in 2006? Hmmm, thought that they were shown in 2007. We soon learned that the project would take far more time and resources than we had expected after seeing the original previews. From my memory we had those previews at ZPZs NYCs Beacon Theatre Halloween 2007 show. I would suspect that if previews are shown this Halloween that it will be quite different. Showtime at DweezilZappaWorld TOUR area for this years Halloween Show states 7PM.

I saw ZPZ on May 17, 2006 in Frederiksberg *), Falkoner Teatret. They showed a preview of 30+ minutes. Do your research properly instead of putting forth these statements from the ballpark. How can you bash DZ like this? Didn't you think he had a preview ready in 2006 but only 2007? Sheesh, and you are supposed to be a "fan" (annoying, right? :-) )

*) Which is always called "Copenhagen" not to confuse outsiders - like calling Lesotho for South Africa, but I digress.

If you don't listen to music no more why even bother getting involved in a thread about some soundtrack music to the Holy Grail of Zappa. Sure keep waiting and writing about about any given Music Is The Best that you don't listen no more.
I am not listening now because i am busy with another project that i need money for, but i am still interrested in what happen with my God ;-)

Roxy Clip was not on 2006 when i seen them Manchester it was the first concert Bozzio was not there and the video that night was "Chunga's revenge" where the band played along with Franks lead on video screen from MTV 81.

Edit:i think now it was the first of both screenings i've always thought it was because Bozzio didn't show up not sure if he did i never seen him with ZPZ

The Roxy footage was presented when I saw Dweezil in Toronto in 2006.

Question: Supposing all us forumers here are the uber FZ fanatics, how many of you have actually shelled out the $1,000 for a Proxy master? (I'm not one of them.)

Not me - and haven't heard of anyone. He/she would advertise somewhere and would like to sell it, I guess - right?

This is why Trendy is back in full force. He feels guilty that he didn't fork over the grand and so he must over-compensate with the "word-smithing." As if his PR efforts aren't toxic to the ZFT.

Let me sift through all the info the ZFT has supplied... Hmm should be here somewhere. Here it is... That would be a "I don't know or haven't a clue yet."

It's going to minimize the impact of the audio visual experience if I've already heard the audio. It will ruin the surprise.

Not that it completely answers your question, Downer - but Gail said this bit in her March e-mail:

This is the Roxy – the Soundtrack – yes, it is the introductory Soundtrack, the Prequel if you will – the Project/Object of your Dreams. 76 unadulterated minutes of fabulous frenzy await you.

The CD is the soundtrack. The movie will be released in December 2013 with no sound. You guys can sync the damn soundtrack yourselves!

I hope the soundtrack will be released before December 2013, otherwise the DVD might be a bit boring

Or you can watch The Roxy while listening to FE, or Helsinki or FZinNY. Any concert works, it's a one band fits all DVD.
