Where can you get them, or how do you make them? What would be some good song sections to use?

Was thinking the very beginning of Father O'Blivion could be good. Zappa fans would recognize it, and everyone else would just think it's a fancy ring tone.

My *SPAM* has been WAKA/JAWAKA for a good year or so but I'm going to change it to RDNZL.

Simpler than that - on my phone I have the option of using an mp3 on my phone as a ring tone.

I edited the final section of Lumpy Gravy part II (Take Your Clothes Off). It's nice, try it.
But if you want that everybody in the room look at you when your phone rings, then use What Ever Happened To All The Fun In The World, sure it works.

You Didn't Try To Call Me is a good ring tone. The part where it goes: you didn't try to call me...why didn't you try, didn't you try, didn't you know I was lonely

Over the years i've used many tunes as ring tones (different ones for selected people). I had "One Man One Vote" for many years. it's hurried and goes into a great melody. These days it's "Gimme Shelter" and "Monkey Man". They have a quiet beginning so it's very cool in meetings....and the young'uns have no Idea what they are.....

I've obsessed over The Adventures of Greggery Peccary for a couple of months now, and I'm currently using a snippet from that as a ring-tone (the section which illustrates a trend being spread throughout the land using all of the frightening little skills that science has made available). It has a lot of percussion to it so it makes a pretty good ring-tone.

The first seconds of Peaches III have been my ring tone for years.
The problem with that kind of doing, is that now whenever I listen to Tinseltown Rebellion, when the snare drum of Peaches III begins, I believe my phone is ringing !

Ring tones can spoil your favorite music forever. Be very careful when you choose good music for a ring tone :)
