I voted for Heidelberg. I never had a chance to listen to it when it was released on cassette way back when.

I like all these songs though. I almost voted for Trudgin', but it's hard to beat Occam.

Too hard to pick. I only just got it today, and it probably won't leave the cd player for awhile.

So far, nine votes have been cast, and I'm still undecided. Heidelberg and Australian Yellow Snow are out of the running because both songs are on popular bootlegs. If I had not previously heard them, they'd both be in the running, for sure. I'm leaning toward Bathtub Man because I smile listening to George and Napi having so much fun with Dickie's Such An Asshole (The San Clemente Magnetic Deviation). I still need to listen to this album a few more times before I vote.

Which is your favorite song to listen to from One Shot Deal?

Trendmongerean Answer
None of the above. I just don't get the fuss wuss fork poking.
"Hey kid, I know you been stuck to that seat ON THE BUS
of this Enforced Recreation (seek Conceptual Continuity)
but kindly Shut Up and 'N Eat Yer' Hamburger... SUAEYH
"

When I eat a Hamburger I eat the whole fucking hamburger.
I don't pick on it like some fussy wuss. If a Hamburger is made
with not only prime fresh meat but all those other wonderful
ingredients that make up a delicious hamburger I like to eat the whole
thing with two hands hot and juicy.

Now why the fuck would I want to remove the bun or any of the
condimente and or contorne. I listen to One Shot Deal as a project.
The way FZ made those build reels and in the added tracks
that make up this project I think Gail & Joe did a great fucking job.

This project is out only a few weeks and already fans are poking
at it like a little kid in a dinner who whines and picks at his food.
I say grab this juicy burger by the bun with both hands and the juices flow for 51:55.
Use your eyes and ears on the project not individual components.

But if you need an individual BURGER meat component
you can meet me at the dinner counter with Gail
ZR 20007 Track 5 " Occam's Razor"

and yet some more "Enforced Recreation Live Onstage In London"

FZ: "Broadmoor," alright. Warren, do you know one called Lefrak City? Where's, where's Butzis?

The only one whining around this thread is YOU, kiddo. Unlike you (apparently) everyone else can have a favourite song without disliking the others. It's a pity you have so little discrimination that everything is exactly the same for you.

Which Monger is your favorite?

1. Insane Monger

"While Frank assembled some pretty good musicians over the years of his far too brief time of recording there is no doubt that the Ensemble Modern is the finest bunch of humans that have ever assembled in a Psuedo Wagon Train Formation."

2. Elitist Monger

"I must admit it is fun writing here but at times many of the minds have little to no clue as to what the deal is."

3. I Am A God Monger

"My complaint is that far too many fans have not had the opportunity to have a higher understanding."

4. Kissing The Ass Of The ZFT Monger

"The performacne of the FZ Medley goes way beyound 100% perfection of NOTES & CHOPS. "
"Dweezil has split the Atom here and while he very much has the same linear DNA as in the family sense he has put the DNA of what defines a Frank Zappa performance in the FZ Medley. "

5. Trying to Be Humble But Not Quite Monger

"Truthfully just because I have been digesting everything Zappa for close to 40 years does not make me an authority figure."

6. I Put Words Together Because They Sound Pretty Monger

"None of the above. I just don't get the fuss wuss fork poking. "

Monger Favorites is quite humorous.
Taken out of context of space and time and or
Big Note PHILOSTOPHY I could see where the
highly over educated shitheads could have
a problem comprehending those analogies
and Trendmongerean statements.

-"(apparently) everyone else can have a favourite song."

These POLLS are getting entirely a bit too preposterous.
I am no graphic artist but Zappa Imperials
in the form of some Olympic 5 Ring Salute
is not what I think Frank had intended when he was
always in the processes of being an American Composer.

What these fans do when they get a project home, as I said,

is entirely a bit too preposterous.

Jesus mother fucking christ Trendmonger... now I cant have a favorite track on a fucking cd without some hi-tootin' philosophy shoved in my face?

I like Occam's Razor more than the others. Piss off.

I picked Occam's Razor. It really makes me appreciate the different moods created within different contexts of xenochrony.

I also enjoyed Heidelberg as I have never heard that one before... same with Yellow Snow... they sound like they are having a great time with the audience on that one. It's a shame I haven't heard the full version.

Bathtub Man is a nice jam. Although, I originally thought it was from Cosmik Debris, but it does sound like Dickie, doesn't it?

Space Boogers and Hermitage are pretty forgettable. Interesting at first, but I do admit... I rarely listen to those.

Tundra is nice too. Has a more ambient feel to it. I tend to loop it while painting.

On another thread I kinda whined about the Enema Bandit on this one (since I had just bought TTNS as well). But I'm glad it's on here. It's a good performance.

I guess my only real complaint is Rollo. It's good, but I don't see the point in a shorter edit of the same version that has been released. Still hoping for yet another Rollo release... this time with the lyrics from the original version.

Anyhow, I digress. I voted for Occam. I guess that's all you needed to hear.

Also, another complained... I didn't care for the packaging. CD seemed hard to pop out of the casing... as fragile as that was. What did Calvin say? I missed it.

Whoops, I have QuAUDIOPHILIAc but I've only really got into the Waka/Jawaka track so far because of how illuminating I find its pre overdubbed condition. I haven't played it that often, but that doesn't mean I don't like it, I do, it's just that most of my music listening involves the iPod. I'm not interested in ripping it, I'm content to wait until it's convenient to listen to it on my surround system.

So, my guess is the One Shot Deal edit of this Rollo version is without the guitar solo and focusses on the ensemble. I like the solo, but if I want to hear it, all I have to do is throw QuAUDIOPHILIAc in the player.

I think Punky's referring to Calvin's comments about Trendmonger, who, if he's listening, needs to go back and read his apology to the forum.
