Yes,....a new set of Don Preston sounds. Well, maybe a bit older,...but none the less very cool stuff! This is on Ictus Records and it's called ESCAPE FROM 2012. All tracks are various settings of Don and Andea Centazzo doing free improv.....Mr. Preston plays Synth,Piano,Double Bass, and good ol' "electronics"(of course!). This may have come out a while back, but I've never seen tell of it here....and after listening to it last night I was compelled to tell you all that if you dig what Don did with the Mothers, then this should appeal. All the cuts are called "Escape..." followed by a number, but every one has it's own instrumentation and taste. Also ,"taste" has a lot to do with how great these tracks flow and change......Don and Andrea really listen to each other and make this a very neat set of avant sounds . No songs ,just wild interplay......"hot-cha"!

this inspired me to check out his earlier releases; i had no idea there was a studio version of agamotto. it's a shame it's slathered in cheesy sounds and there isn't a clear 1969 version out in circulation.
