He's probably one of those fuckheads who doesn't even buy the physical product and then later asks questions about what the specifics are in the liner notes. ASSHOLE!!

Because people who write all in caps and then put a bunch of exclamation marks at the end of their posts have sooooo much credibility. Hahahaha.
Seek therapy, son, you have a real anger management problem.

An anger management problem? It's words on a screen you dumbbell.

So it looks like five of the tracks - Penguin in Bondage, Village of the Sun, Echidna's Arf, Don't You Ever Wash That Thing and Cheepnis - are songs that were included on the original Roxy album. Given the ZFT penchant for repackaging and reselling previously released material (see Finer Moments, for example), can someone confirm that these are different versions of those songs? Many thanks.

Fucking complaining already? Idiot.

In your own words... REHASH!

No shithead this is not a REHASH! Fuck off.

Here's Two Choruses on the simplicity of Music is a Religion.

- On Dweezil Zappa's birth certificate Frank Zappa stated that Music was his Religion.

- "Good God, she's spoted the hoop again". Not that this is the wet side of the bed but Zack Glickman Oh Happy Day!...... It's O.K. to shake up the pale dry ginger ale of the matter of music being a religion. The mighty penguin is once again shriekin' and flappin' em'. Roxy by Proxy is the true sense of unbridled passion!

Is "Dupree's" the version in that video or a different one?

it is a different version.

Actually gails liners notes say a number of intersting things (despite being a page)

One, this is an appetizer to the entree (the entree being "The Roxy Soundtrack")

This leads me to believe that none of this material will overlap the film but the film will not be every night.

Also she says "The Roxy Movie has landed" (this makes is sound complete, and thanks everyone for having seen the performances)

I think maybe Roxy DVD will be release #100 MUCH to my surprise.

EDIT: she also mentions an ongoing lawsuit which limits what she can "risk" releasing and that this represents material never contractually delivered to anyone ever and that to avoid furthur risk, she did not use the tracks they are reserving for the film....

So rehashers STFU!

Ohh, not that never-to-be understood barfie-talk again... When will they learn to communicate simply and properly?... After wich we would not "believe" or guess, but merely KNOW.

So from what I've read it seems like some of the songs on this CD are the same performances as the original Roxy release (ok, maybe remastered) (how similar to they sound?)
Not only that, but the 'Roxy Soundtrack' could very well have some of the exact same songs/recordings as this CD couldn't it? (that would be a major rehash- & especially frustrating to those who've waited months and/or payed 1,000$ for a CD-R) I imagine the communication and details on that 'soundtrack' release will be vague/convoluted enough that no one will know about any overlap material until its actually released. (probably 5 years from now)

They are very different. As it states throughout the liner notes, no one involved REALLY thinks Frank would have put this out. These sound very raw compared to Roxy.

And as I stated above, the gail-speak is pretty clear on this one. (Short of a complete misinterpretation), it all points to the Soundtrack having performances unique from this release though maybe overlapping with Roxy and Elsewere (again I doubt it, due to the lawsuit-talk of previous deliverables) Unfortunetly, the other truth to that is that the soundtrack/DVD will probably not be all 3 nights,

I say "I believe" or "I think" because it's not outright but with what she has said, I believe my interpretation to be correct.

Ordered today. It'll drive me nuts every day not having this and waiting for release #100 to be ready. $28 for a single disc is slightly ridiculous, but for FZ music I make the exception. Plus I got my tax return today, so what's $8? :?:
Glad there are extensive liner notes that are not all gailspeak. Camouflage could have used some recollections/notes from Novi or Denny about that session. Notice there isn't even a recording date listed, or a picture of the box/reel/tape on Camo.
