There are bound to be a lot of polls because we are talking about a very prolific composer here. The main reason there have been so many polls showing up lately is all down to Trendmonger's hissy fit about polls. Calvin responded by bumping a whole heap of them which buried Trendmonger's 11 poll thread outburst. I have to admit that sometimes it's a bit annoying when the majority of the most recent posts list is filled with poll threads, but I generally think they're harmless and I find it interesting what other people's interests are. Sometimes I find it quite illuminating which tracks turn out to be favourites.

Trendomonger, also known as Gary Titone, is presently demonstrating his rudest behavior to date. He is deliberately spamming the ZAPPA ALBUM section of the board. I believe that not only is he insane, he's a mean prick, too.

Since you started, not only the outward name calling
a few threads/topics back but had the audacity
to state a Zappa was making the statement

FUCK YOU One More Gain',,, and again,,,,, and again

I am POLLING on aspects of FZs canon that have more to do
with Frank Zappa an American Composer than some
Favorite Olympic Mindset Ideology of songs on LPs.

Those POLLs closed topics were errors that when you try to correct them with backspace turn into extra topics. Wish I could delete them
but unfortunately you can not delete your own topics.

If you like your Favorite Songs on LPs POLLs no one is stopping you.
Revel in that if that is what you like.

Frank Zappa was an American Composer not some hit minded pop artist.
FUCK YOU AND YOUR SMELLY BEARD

Why don't you go engineer another crappy sounding CD
from a crappy sounding band.
I am considering starting a POLLs
on what tracks on what CDs
or Audience recordings of Project Object that sound like total shit.

The WORST of Smelly Beard & Associates
The War Flag Agenda.

Jimmie D: just remind me of why you made several of those "best track on..." polls which honked space for quite some time, and which were just as nonsical to me? LumpyGravy: same question to you.

Bonny, I don't understand your question/comment. I've never created a best of poll. All of my polls have asked which is your favorite song to listen to from individual albums. Trendmonger is the only forum member to cause trouble in any of those favorite listen polls that I've created, and now he's simply spamming the ZAPPA ALBUM section.

Th.

What SPAMMING ATTACKS are you talking about?
Could you mean the FAVORITE SONG POLLS?

Probably not but I will tell you this.

The Favorite Bars in Stucco Homes POLL (Part 1 through whatever)
are far more in line with Frank Zappa the American Composer than some
Favorite Song POLL from whatever project.
My VOTE went for Frank Zappa American Composer
not a specific set of Bars, that is a section of a composition
but I do see some fans in some POLLS VOTE on specific sections of compositions.
Maybe a section of a FZ Composition will wind up on Calender. Vooden........................
These POLLs are getting entirely too preposterous and deviate in perpetuated regalia from Compositional aspects of the work.

POLLs are an option here at this Forum
and since a recent trend is getting
into what I now cal a VOODEN PHILOSTPHY
I entered and joined this trend.
POLLs have limitations in POLL Questions.
For that composition I choose Bar POLL questions.
There were over 320 Bars of music in that Composition.
The amount of Bars per transcription page varied.
I will continue the trend of POLLing on the contrast of Compositional aspects against some Olympic Minded philostophy.

Each POLL basically represented a TRANSCRIPTION PAGE.
Steve Vai was paid per page of TRANSCRIPTION.
Lot's of hard work there and usable as reference material and or learning of a Frank Zappa composition.

Each POLL PT ncluded a
Frank Zappa American Composer POLL option
which is far more representative of the Composition
than just 1 transcription page.

SPAM is relative to a point of view.
My opinion is that Favorite SONG POLLS
are far more SPAM orientated than one that
questions artistic compositional aspects of a track or LP.

Revel in whatever you like.
One mans spam is another mans food for thought
.

Schillmonger, if everyone who hung out a certain location thought I was a dick, you know what I would do?

I hang out somewhere else.

I'd buy the espresso bar and tell you if you don't like the coffee to find the exit door.

And here is one reason you don't like the coffee

Anyone else see a problem here?

I've posted a few times about this whole thing so I won't bother to go on about it again, but, if Gail really want to protect the "intent of the composer" she should get out of the way of the musicians who are bringing Frank's music to the stage.

Andre, glad to hear you are digging the tour with DiMeola. Very cool. Take care man and never get down because Frank's wife and/or son have a skewed opinion about non-ZFT approved versions of live Zappa music. We love you guys for doing what you do, so, whenever you get pissed about it, just bear that in mind.

p.s. - the weather in Southern California is really nice in the Fall!

p.p.s - I'm now The Black Page Part 2 because they can't find my first account. Now I'm not into conspiracy theories, but, in light of how many of my posts of dissent were deleted.....

Now there may be a very slight difference between that but I stil think it's minorly idiotic to start a poll for it, let alone start one for every album. I felt it was flooding cuz I had to search real hard for that one thread I was reading.

Trendy: neither is spamming. Spam refers to advertizing goods.

There's a big difference between "best" and "favorite". There is also a broader definition of the term "spam" than the one which you've posted.

For example:

spam: Generally refers to repeated and irrelevant content.

I was aware of that difference you mention. However the two will tend to overlap. See the Top 65 of Peaches, which doesn't mention Inca Roads or Greggery Peccary. Stating which is the "best" is not possible.

But the point of the matter is that all those polls could fill pages of topic lists, and sometimes somebody'd come along and respond their little opinion. Then the whole board would once more be filled with uninteresting nonsense once more. And to be honest the only difference between that and trendy's sorry attempt is the scale.

And:
Forum spam: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Forum_spam
What Trendy does is more related to trolling.

This has to be the understatement of the century. Try "ugliest son of a mother fucking troll" and you're in the ballpark. Trendmonger is fast becoming the sole reason for me considering avoiding this place. Do you think if his wife knew exactly how he was behaving here that she'd still respect him as much? Cue Muffin Man.

exactly. these polls are all about your favorite song.

not the best songs. that would be stupid.

Why don't you start a poll devoted to that topic?

Is it too early to start a "Trendmonger -- Rap Artist" thread?
