thanks guys i got some good ideas. I'll be adding these songs to the set:

Peaches En Regalia
Watermelon in Easter Hay
Cosmik Debris
San Berdino

and Stinkfoot if I can find the time to transcribe it for the band. Not many of em read the sheet music, so I gotta do tab. I fortunately, read both, so I don't really have much of a problem there.
Sorry dude, but Frank doesnt want anyone playin' Watermelon...
Sucks, huh? I really would love to cover that song.

If You do it in gigs, there is nothin' wrong with that.
Of course theres something wrong with it. It's disrespecting Franks wishes.
I have to go with ImSoCute on this one.

It's not like Frank demanded it, but he asked very politely that people not play those songs. If you decide to play them, there's not a damn thing Gail or anyone else can do to stop you.

But out of respect for Frank - who certainly deserves it - I think it would be a good idea to play something else instead. Frank left the world plenty of songs to play, and it's not really asking a lot to refrain from playing those three pieces.

And it doesn't really matter why he asked for this. The fact that he asked should be reason enough.
Exactly.

I mean, there are so many great peices Frank has left for us that you can play.
I for one am covering Sinister Footwear 2nd Mvt. or Peaches En' Regalia as my Music Recording Project for school. I'm not sure when we do it (I'm hoping this year though, if not it will be my year 12 project) but when we do, I will post the finished product.

What peice would you like to hear? ;)

PERIOD!
It has absoloutley nothing to do with Freedom of Speach (Are you sure your not T-F24?).

If you consider yourself to be a REAL musician, you will understand that what you write is YOURS. You can tell anybody not to play it, they might not listen, but that just makes them come across disrespectful, arrogant, and downright stupid.
we decided to just go ahead and do Peaches en Regalia instead--not only out of respect for Frank, but also because it's easier to play acoustically then watermelon, and well like you said FZ don't want us playin' it, then we won't. I hadn't known that until i read your post. Thanks for the info. Peaches'll probably go over a little better with the college crowd anyway.
How did the crowd react? ;)
