Image

Image

I've read conflicting reports everywhere including allmusic and the discography on this site. Which one was actually released first?
...it says that money was released first, altough lumpy was recorded before money. (lumpy was delayed beacuse of contract difficulties).
This site has all the sordid details about the orignal version (which can be found on your favorite file-sharing program):

http://w1.858.telia.com/~u85821131/vinylvscds/lumpy_gravy.html

I had it, but I never listened to it. Maybe I'll have to get it again, since LG is my favorite FZ album from the 60's.

Billy, I take that as a personal insult...
;) 8) ;)
Actually, LG, I was talking about the original mix of it. I may have listened to it once, but the quality was so bad that it was almost unlistenable. I've practically worn out the CD I have of the officially released mix, though. ;D

I'm looking at a document from 818 PUMPKIN
which lists Money before Gravy, but it says Money was released in September 1968 and Gravy in December 1967!

That Gravy may have been some sort of limited release
because I seem to recall being amused that Zappa followed an album called Absolutely Free with one called We're Only In It For The Money.
