from the feb-26-78 brussels show...adrian appears to be the butt of a few jokes thanks to his announcement of accepting a position with david bowie after the end of the tour....yo' mama starts right up...adrian comes in late with his harmony vocal,he starts singing at the line..."and cook for you". frank changes the lyrics to these: <br><br>"you ain't really made for throwing things on the stage. <br>ain't much hope for a nerd like you. <br>'cause if i give you a chance, you forget to come in where you're supposed to sing. <br><br>maybe you should stay with your david...<br>he can do your laundry and play with you." <br><br>i have read where adrian mentioned frank changing the lyrics and singing maybe you should stay with your david, and adrian made it sound like it was good natured ribbing. maybe it was, but to my ears frank sounded kind of pissed off. just how mad was frank concerning adrian's leaving to join david bowie? [the first time i heard this, frank did indeed sound pissed. so i want back and listened again....and again...and again....and still, frank does indeed sound pissed]fogz<br>

I seem to remember reading about an occurance where Frank, Adrian, and David met up somewhere (for dinner maybe?), and Frank kept referring to David as Captain Dave or something like that.  I'm not sure how true that it though.  I think someone posted that story and alt.fan.frank-zappa a few years ago.  Either way, David always seemed like a pretty nice guy with a good sense of humor to me.  I heard that he even played "Be In My Video" once when he was guesting as a DJ on some radio station.

I think you mean the 84 version of Dinah-moe-hum. It has the riff from Let´s Dance. You can find it on "You can´t do that on stage anymore 6".
