Well, I think it's not Paul Simon. It doesn't sound like him. It's more "Brian Eno - with Paul Simon singing" ... But if you like Paul Simon you could buy it and like it ... I don't know

Listened to a few more songs on the website and he was on radio 2 today talking about the Album a bit.
It does seem to be a bit different from the other stuff he's put out. Kinda like what I've heard so far though. 8)

I haven't got it yet but I'm pretty sure it will please me a lot, I'll be more precise when I've got it.

What can I say? I have a bit of a Mike Patton addiction

Im waiting for my Peeping Tom to arrive. What Ive heard, I like, but the reviews Ive read slate it big time. I love Pattons work, so Im trying to ignore the reviews and check it out for myself.......

I don't know I saw a lot of slack on this CD too, before it came out.
I guess I get some of the complaints, but this is the first Cd Patton has done where he actually sings. I know the Kaada/Patton release had some of that, but the last couple Fanotmas Cd were sporadic on that. X-ecutioners vs General Patton had a bit more. But this one has no filler type stuff. (Not that filler = bad, mind you)
The only thing that people were saying that I don't agree with, is that it's too Poppy sounding.
I think it falls somewhere between King For A Day...Fool For A Lifetime and the first Tomahawk Cd.

If you get it lemme know what you think.
I even really like the duet with Norah Jones.

I really like it. I think most of the bad reviews Id seen of it, came from the slightly snobby, high brow Zorn / experimental groups, offended that Patton had a part in something even slightly commercial.
Ive always thought that Patton pretty much covered the boards anyway, and its silly to think that Patton wouldnt / couldnt come up with a release like this. As a massive FNM fan, it is good to hear him "singing" again. Its just another feather to his bow. That said, there are very few releases of his that Im not into. to be a part of Zorns Moonchild project and put this out the following month shows his style and flexibility.
Shame Im gonna miss PTs upcoming UK shows, but hey, cant have it all....
