Which one doesn't get much of a spin on yer turntable or cd player. The Flo & Eddie period doesn't seem to be the most popular around here based on several discussions - although I think it's great to hear a completely different style of all of FZ's work. Must admit I don't play The Man from Utopia too often (apart from Moggio I don't think it's one of his best releases), plus Thing Fish isn't something I haven't listened to in probably 5 years. I hadn't played "Ahead of their Time" in a while but since I gave it a recent airing I've left it in the cd drawer and re-played a good few times. Now I have a completely different perspective of it. I wish I'd been part of one of the old MOI shows..... Might give TF another go but don't hold yer breath about it going in the top 10 FZ list.

Even though when Filmore first came out it was on my stereo on a regular basis. It was and still is a fun album to listen to, it still gets me laughing. 8)
[/quote]
when i first got filmore east i played it non stop for about a week...i was living in the halls of residence at the time and it's the only zappa album i've listened to in company out of choice...i normally prefer listening to zappa alone but this one seemed to have a wider appeal with some of my friends at the time...i've not played it in over a year though :o
