I'm looking for possible song suggestions. This might sound weird, but for a lack of a better word what are some "Hendrix style" zappa songs? I guess blues rock zappa songs to be more specific. Also, I love his jazz fusion stuff but does he have any big band jazz stuff?

"My Guitar Wants to Kill Your Mama"

Also, re: big band jazz, "The Grand Wazoo" is what mostly qualifies, also check out the archival "Wazoo" album, which features the 20-piece Grand Wazoo Orchestra live September '72.

Try these albums:

Chunga's Revenge
Hot Rats
The Grand Wazoo
Waka/Jawaka
Overnite Sensation
Freak Out (it's great, but it's got nothing to do with jazz fusion or hendrix)

Hello and welcome to the club!

Lonely Little Girl... Try We're Only In It For The Money. You can't miss it: it has Jimi on the cover.

This guy hasn't been here since October 2013. This was his third post and would not have appeared immediately due to the ridiculous sign on process we have here and he probably doesn't even realise it was eventually passed. He gave up after 3 posts.

the zappa-hendriz similarities break down rather quickly if percussion is featured in zappa song

obvious & irrelevant; the bump was for forum members, lurkers, noobs, curious or otherwise who wouldn't search the board, just wants a few suggestions

Fair enough. Why are you taking it personally? My comment was about the sign in process.
