Yeah, I bought two remaster discs. But I like them a bunch.

If you were a real fan, you'd like them a bushel and a peck!

I just don't have the time for that sort of commitment right now. Maybe later it will be a kenning.

Having listened to all of them at my friends (and copied them -naughty, naughty), I think some are more of an improvement than others. I thought "Rubber Soul" was really better, but "Sgt. Pepper's" was still "Sgt Pepper's" and the "massive improvement" in "Good morning, good morning" claimed by Jon Savage in the otherwise reliable "Mojo" magazine was overstated.

Mine arrived yesterday, the stereo one. Sorry, but I can't get the fascination with mono, I've heard plenty of examples of mono and just don't like it.

Well, John Lennon apparently once said that you've only really heard Sgt Pepper's, when you've heard it in mono, but I tend to agree with you. I actually don't mind the much maligned Beatles' "primitive" stereo separation i.e. Vocals and guitars on one side bass, drums etc on the other.

I suppose I should comment, but I've only listened to one so far. I listened to Revolver first, because I never had that album originally. The only Beatles albums I had in vinyl back in the day were Sergeant Pepper's, the White Album, Abbey Road, Let It Be and Hey Jude. Since then I'd only picked up the White Album and Abbey Road on CD, although my wife got hold of some best of compilations.

The Revolver disc sounds pretty good. I've had to revise my opinion of them, I've always been a bit of a fan, but this one shows they were pretty innovative, I like it. I'm just going to put Rubber Soul on right now.

John Lennon also took a hell of lot of acid.
