And last I looked, we've gotten a wee bit uglier. I have, anyway.

What would the world be if Frank Zappa had never graced God's grey earth with his music, intellect, innovative spirit and ability to make us think? Absolutely unimaginable...and only in the mind of the imaginer...

It's almost time to spin Hot Rats, my favourite albums of yours. I deeply miss you, Frank...

Cheers, Kirk. Yes, I got my Carnegie. A good release, happy to buy it. My brother, an old friend and I, are having a get together later in the week for a Carnegie listening session.

Not that I want to say that you don't know what FZ would have thought and only I do, but in general, people who have things in common like to get together and talk about them. It's a very human thing and there's nothing sad about it. As I mentioned in a post above, about a get together which is now in the past, we listened to Carnegie, but we also blathered on all night about all sorts of stuff we care about. As much a loner as he might have been, and I can relate to that desire, I doubt that FZ would have thought the need to communicate was sad. Just listen to him at the start of side 3 on Roxy and Elsewhere.

          :)
