I don't know if I want to be on the same forum as you anymore.

You're right. I won't post stuff like this anymore.

It's because you used the word "whilst". I find it pretentious and jejune.

I won't do that anymore either.

The Thompson Twins' "If You Were Here" gets my vote as the best pop song in the history of recorded music.

My vote goes to "What a Fool Believes" by the Doobie Bros.

This week it's "She's Gone" by Hall & Oates and "Shake Yer Bootie" by KC & The Sunshine Band.

(don't worry it'll be different next week or next month)

It's a free forum to do what you want.

All the same, I've worn out my welcome on 4 other forums in the past 7 years posting stupid crap and I'd really like to try to outgrow that now that I'm pushing 38.

I don't think you're even close to wearing out your welcome here yet. 'Tis okay. Cal's humor is very dry - part of what makes him so funny.

The only reason I watch the local news program, is to see the day's vehicle accidents.
Actually, it's also the main reason I watch the NASCAR races, too.

My wife does that and it drives me nuts. Then again, she's used to it because she works at CNN and they've got 57 TVs all playing CNN in every friggin room. :?

We have a sign at CBS that reads:

I like the Insane Clown Posse. I think they're an underrated group. I think that when you enjoy ICP, you should be beyond caring about what other people think about you.

Interestingly enough, Mike E. Clark, ICP's producer, has Zappa listed as an influence on his MySpace page, inbetween Schooly D and The Parliaments:

Sometimes on summer afternoons, I enjoy imitating Michael McDonald of the Doobie Brothes singin' "What a Fool Belives"

Hey, I only like a few songs from that CD. And admit it, "What A Fool Believes" is crap as well. Not as crappy as ICP but crappy nonetheless.
