Since we are living in an apartment I can't listen to music very loud. Besides here are two kids, who use to listen to their own music. I wonder why we haven't been chucked out already  So it's time for new headphones. I always prefered Sennheisers. But I'm not sure which headphones are really good these days. Any recommendations ?

Good question ...... I think 300 € ($ 360) would be okay.

I've got a pair of nice Audio-Technica ATH-M35, but I guess it's a very cheaper range (€77.00). Sounds good enough for me.

I use Sennheiser 419 cans, myself. They're very comfortable. I've literally listened to music for 2-3 hours straight without my ears and/or head getting uncomfortable. The only downside is that there is exterior sound leakage.

But if you're seriously willing to spend top dollar for a set of cans, you might want to try their 598s. On eBay and in the amazon marketplace, they're currently $150-$250...

Once my 419s stop working, I'll be tempted to try the 598s in the future (though, there's apparently exterior sound leakage as well)...

These are pretty cool, I use the SR325's and can attest to the slowly simmering out of Portnoy's cymbal while the gang rocks on full bore, ($300).

They have many other models as well.

Can anyone recommend earbuds? My most recent Skullcandy buds crapped out today after 4 months. I paid about $20USD for them and was satisfied with the sound, but 4 months? Jeez.

I've owned these Seinheisser HD650 for a couple years now. The sound is pretty fucking good....when the source material is Very High Quality. If no, then it's an excrutiating experience because every fucked up detail and/or clipped sound distracts you from the music.

I use Sennheiser MX 365 earbuds (2 year warranty). They're not too much more expensive than the Skullcandy ones above and will apparently last longer...

Thank you!

Edit: Just bought them for $15.36 on Amazon along with yet another pair of Skullcandy which I hope will last longer than 4 mos.

Wow, since I'm used to buying through amazon.ca, that's cheaper than I thought. Glad I could help. :)
