For me, probably all 4 of Pantera's '80s albums on vinyl. I can't remember exactly how much I got for 'em but I do know that it was well over $100 for all 4.

And I do believe that the second most expensive thing I sold on eBay was all 4 of Pantera's '80s albums on CD (over $100 for all 4 as well).

one magazine, $9.99, never tried selling on ebay again

re-sold a 13-mag ebay lot to losing bidder for $65 off-ebay; paid $85 for a batch of 14 cashbox mags from '74; wanted the one zappa issue

3 units, 90 lessons, I got around $450 selling each unit seperatly. Mine weren't the CD's though, mine were the cassettes from years ago. They cost quite a bit new back then, I think around 900 total for the three units. They kick ass. No reading (or looking at letters), 'till after you're comfortable speaking, (AFTER lesson 90). Not only a fun way to learn, but no accent transfer either(:

Sold the "dear jeepers" 45. When I went to bed, it was at around 30. When I woke up, it was almost 300.

mj, the bad mixes, $204.50

Image

after moving here, became good friends with a guy working for monster cable, very cool dude, he ran the back end operation pulling large orders together, assembling some hi-end interconnects etc etc ... the head monster was into a lot of promo type stuff, organized a session with mj, quincy jones [original producer of bad], some grammy-winning sound engineer & a succulent young l.a. studio freshly rewired with all monster cables etc etc limited edition cd 6,000 copies of a re-mixed album doesn't sound too exciting, except the guy's approaching a billion records sold, so, like, evidently, it's giga-fucking-rare

me mate shows up one day in '89 or '90 with a handful of these cds, monster cable promo, mikey jackson, the bad mixes; almost refused to let him leave one on my shelf, but it sat there until last year

starting price: $19.99
35 bids from 11 countries
7 bids over $185
270 views
many pm's pleading for a buy-it now or off-ebay sale

My 'Maiden collection for about £250 back in 2003.
All the singles up to Hallowed be thy Name (Live), The Soundhouse Tapes, some rare CD singles, some Japanese albums and 12"s and some tour programs.

I kept all the original lps up to 7th Son and my CD box of The First 10 Years which has particular sentimental value.

joey psychotic - I want that cheeseburger

I bought a dog for my Wife and daughter after ours tragically and suddenly died of cancer (from healthy to need to put her down in 6 weeks), it was a very unusual mix and I had to search with my daughter high and low to find a similiar puppy and it cost us. But it was worth it, we needed something to fill the void, I couldn't live through another day of the deep sadness that the loss caused my family and there is nothing like a puppy to brighten up people lives...

Just curious. When you sell something on ebay or on the amazon market place do you have to worry about taxes?

I was big into selling stuff on ebay between '99-'02. Mostly music VHS tapes(as the format was dying), and OOP CDs I didn't listen to that were worth something.

Beat The Boots Vol. 1 on vinyl. I think I paid $80 for it at the House Of Guitars in Rochester NY(sitting on a top shelf sort of hidden). I made $40 on it reselling. The shirt was too small, and the vinyl although clean wasn't the best quality. I had half the CDs at the time, and since acquired them all.

Also Ween's Live In Toronto CD. I paid around $75 for it, burned myself a copy, bought the white double-vinyl, then sold the CD for $100.

hmmm, I think I got the most for the meatball fulton beefheart/ry cooder interview promo 12". maybe 400? Can't remember, that was a long time ago. I remember I sold it to the 2nd highest bidder 'cause the winner refused to communicate. 2 weeks later he throws a fit, blaming me for selling it out from under him. Didn't use ebay for sales again for years after.

ps not that I'll get that much, but it's time to get over the addiction, sell off the beat the boots stuff, maybe some other things.

bought an old mag on ebay for $2.45 with a decent fz interview, springsteen on the cover; seller threw in the 4-track promo cd for free assuming he was selling to a sprinsteen fan
