I'll shut up about the day dreams, but this far I've dreamt of FZ 4 times, and of DZ twice.

No, but once I had a dream where I was being chased around by a vacuum cleaner...

I had a similar dream recently. In my dream I stumbled upon a bunch of Zappa and Beefheart records in a crappy flea market all priced for a buck each!! It was a good dream.

Had my first FZ dream last week. He was wearing that ugly red jumpsuit from I believe the Dub Room Special.

Yeah Cal, but that was about the Frank Zappa dreams, not the Dweezil Zappa dreams. So I'll relate my DZ dreams to you:

First one was at the concert in Amsterdam, the VIP meet n greet, months before the act was to take place. I dreamed DZ was playing a great solo. And he wore a green shirt with a picture of a truck on it. I have a shirt like that, and the dream made me decide to wear it to the meet n greet.
(Aftermath: DZ indeed wore a green shirt that day, but with a kitty on it.)

Second one was: I got backstage after a ZPZ concert and had a nice chat. He just kept on talking, even when I really wanted to leave.

I saw Dweezil and Lisa on a re-run (obviously) of the game show Pyramid today. I might have nightmares about Donny Osmond or maybe some different ones about Lisa.

Fortunately I don't know Donny Osmond. Isn't he on Confessions, singing Stayin' Alive?

No, he's one of the singers of the Osmonds, who were fairly popular in the US in the 70's. Pop music might be too heavy an explanation for him.

BBP was referring to Dweezil's album "Confessions" and yes, Donny did sing "stayin' alive" on it. Originally Ozzy sang it but record company stuff prevented its release, so Dweezil substituted Donny for Ozzy. The Ozzy version has since been released on Ozzy's boxset.

Frank appears in my dreams occasionally. I'm in a place in my life where I dream all night, sometimes vividly. This is because I smoked marijuana almost daily for thirty-five years, then had to quit. It ain't right, and neither am I.

One of the main themes in my dreams is lots of people I don't know in my waking life but I am quite acquainted with in the dream. This is commonly associated with some job I'm doing. I swear I'm dreaming of lives I could have had, or I'm appearing in other peoples dreams...that is, I am dreaming about them as they are dreaming about me. I guess a lifetime of movies and television would make a brain that can create new dream people every night, but sometimes I wonder.

The one Frank dream I can recall at this moment had to do with being on the road with the group. I'm not a musician, so I don't know what I was doing there, but Frank was dressed in tight white with a big white hat, circa 1982? He was asking me to do something, but I have no idea what...maybe get him some coffee, eh?

I also dream of Elvis Costello. Frank and Elvis are my two heroes.

I dreamed last night I was in South America helping some guy run from the police. I was documenting it like I was working for the BBC or something.

Me and my brain are going to have to have a long talk...

I dreamed last night that I was in a crowd of people, maybe at some sort of concert. Frank Zappa came running through, screaming and ranting like he was drunk. I asked a woman (there's always people I don't know in my dreams) if Frank was drunk or something, and she said no, he was just acting that way for a friend.

Later, after I accidently stepped out of my old brown shoe, and a young lady helped me fetch it back, I was standing at a urinal in a public restroom. Some gay guy was checking out my penis, and asking if we could just talk. I told him no way, and as I zipped up and turned around, Frank was behind me. It was so erie...he seemed so real...skinny with the long straggly hair. I said hey Frank, thanks for being my hero. He sort of nodded his acceptance, and walked out with me.

I woke up with a piss hard-on.
