Hi!

Frank always liked doo-wop music, but i failed to find his favourite doo-wop albums that inspired him when making Cruising with Ruben & the Jets although i tried hard :)

could someone post his favoirete doo-wop stuff...

or some albums that you personally like from the 50's as i'm interested in this kind of music right now...

thanx

Agreed! I'd flip out if I got that radio show on an audio format! Does Frank talk at all throughout the show? Please say you have a copy of the broadcast!

Thanks IB! I dig it.

The advertisement blurbs at the beginning are also pretty funny. "Buy that new Beatles double album, folks.." :)

I agree totally...I really enjoy to hear those original adds. Really takes you back in time, huh?

And the fact that a lot of those records was Franks personal 45's... awsome!
...and sounds like most of them had been played a LOT!

Part two coming up later tonight...

Enjoy!

Haha, that '59 Volvo tune is great. The tune after that, the one that ends with Chopin's "Funeral March" is also hilarious. I can really see why FZ loved these records so much.

Shit! I was away for work all weekend and just got back! It seems that only part two is up now, but it does have 29 tracks! I just downloaded those but haven't got to listen to it yet. Is this only part two, are there actually two more parts of this many songs? I can't believe I missed out on the other two!
