well, we got a bit of snow here in maryland, yesterday.
it took me seven (7) hours to go home from work last night...
it's 25 miles from my workplace to my home...

it was chaos. I must have passed around 25 cars, stuck in the snow, most of them abandoned.
at one time, traffic came to a complete stop for about an hour and a half...

if it ever starts snowing again while I'm at work, I'm leaving early... :smoke:

Hey surprizee, a clear blue sky here. .... would I tell fibs if one skipped those two lil smiling clouds just now? Ney, what we did been's a conjurer trick the story of which would only receive numb ears. Reminisizing, five months plus to above ninety percent fully overcast, weeks on another seven days no azuren speck whatsoever. Therewith the tempritchers dropped below freezin that night. Now optimal warmth-intake via standing in the golden, and may I point out, a rare sun, would say that less than one in a hundred could give evolution all it needed. And this in between the galaxies. All summorized i guess are there ca four/4oo billion stars in our Milky Way nestled in an advantageous and necessary astonishing cosmic array, the sorts of ..ask that then any other official nu-dude. --Seahorse, Sco''ish Singer and proper procker, Gincommunicastle :smurf:

yea, that geezer has looked up the weatherforecast :?

hocus pocus, weekend

Tule fog, mixed into the regular tully/bully fog has got visability at night down to .002 miles.Which basically means you can't see your hand in front of your face.Daytime,100% humidity & no wind makes for bone chilling cold fog.1hr.drive east or west and your in 60+degree sparkling sunshine.
Dank girlfriend. What's a dank girl do? Dank you veddy, veddy much? Should you tip? Have a smoke after? :smoke:

10:30pm, and the horizon, as seen from our 9th floor window, is very fuzzy. Horizontal snow flakes just reached our parking lot. Now, the fun begins!

The 2000 mile blizzard of 2011 is getting underway.

1. Plenty of food
2. Generator is full of gasoline and on standby just in case of powerouttage
3. 5 cords of firewood on hand for home heating
4. DVD of "The Thing"

There is a record storm, the most powerful in the last hundred years, about to strike the coast of Australia with 3ooKm/h??? (190 miles per hour) what would yer say? that's not a thing to trifle wiv. ..ow chucku rooney, is this now a change for the be'er?-)

..one should use the word 'record' merely for discs what is flying, right or wot!-) it otherwise gets mentioned every day for no special reason at all. ..Olympia 2o12 in London, fancy that then: lions, rhinocerosses, gnus and stuff are waiting for a refreshin' rain. And the scrape medal goes to smurf on the freaky surf 8) eh :smurf:

N.B.: start building me a bombastic boat to bring me to the Eurotrainstation going for Britain

Same here minus generator, minus cords of wood and instead of "The Thing", have "The Shining". Being from West Michigan, a few feet of snow comes with the territory.

Last night some winter occurred. I would expect some more winter shortly. Followed ever so dilligently by some more. According to the news it's the worst thing to happen here since the Irish.

Great choice Spacebro, in keeping the theme of winter isolation. Today, you may know that there is a Groundhog Day marathon. Watch it again...and again, ...and again...

Actually, I'm kind of enjoying the blizzard. Makes me feel like I'm 10 again.

It's over 70% today. Nice, not much wind and supposed to stay that way for at least a couple of days.Freaky weather for February. To bad we can't spread some sunshine back east where it's heavy duty freaky weather of the other kind. Good luck boys & girls!

Snow has subsided after dumping about 20 inches. Add to that the wind and the snow drifts around here are about waist deep in some areas. Nice not to hear traffic. Shoveled plenty of snow. Glad it was mostly dry and not sloppy & slushy.

I'd much rather be hit with 20 inches of snow than 2 inches of ice.
