Lol, best sex car...I had a '65 monaco:

Image

...and the best thing about it (back in those days when we had nowhere else to go), was the console. It was wide and flat and there was a big space between the front buckets...

Image
(Mine was this color, but it didn't have the tape, lol)...

...and the console went all the way to the back seat which was raised a little bit to make a just right pillow...

Image

...but the real secret to this was not that you'd have to scramble for a position...

...but it was the raised position of...how shall I put this...the mound...when reclined with her legs going down on the driver side, and passenger side front floor. That was very memorable(:

Image

The only other thing memorable about that car was it had a dual super 3-dimentional instrument clusters that lit up like the NYC skyline at night.

Dude! Similar memories of a 1970 Dodge Monaco 500! I wish I could post photos!

I waxed it up one day and took the chick from Kit's Camera to a ZZ Top concert. We were having some beer and schnapps in the parking lot when she started sliding across the waxed trunklid all sexy like. Some other gals joined in, running up and sliding across. I got really fucked up that night and held her on my shoulders in the mosh pit. She was awrighty!

I actually got a photo of the Dodge published with my letter to Collectible Automobile! They are very rare with the 500 option.

Bitch ex-wife made me sell it. I also owned a '66 Chrysler Newport we called "the Hat".

I dig that black Dart, too. Six-banger, slant-banger, rebuilt!

What is that red thing, a Mercedes? Goddamn.

The Dart was a original 318 car when my buddy bought it 20 years ago.Five years of frame work & body work to get it to look like it does now so he bought a Beefed up 360 to drop into it,it runs upper 9's in the quarter mile.

AMC Rebel circa 1970. Must be a Canadian version...I don't recognize the fender badge.

I used to know a fella that raced these and Javelins, even into the 1980s.

Didn't mean to underpower your Dart, Trip. A lot of Swingers were girlish sixes.

I'm lovin this...

We went through about 5 or 6 Darts when I was a kid. Canadian winters beat the unholy crap out of them though. All I really remember about them was a lot of rust and flapping quarter-panels.

My mother also had an old Valiant for a couple of years. I remember me and my brother sliding form one side of the back bench to the other when she hit the snaky back roads around our farm back when she was delivering the Toronto Star on weekends. I don't know if the car even had seatbelts.

Hers wasn't all nice like this; it was a washed out, sun-bleached medium blue but it went like stink.

Yeah, Trip...'lil Duece coupe, you don't know what I got...!

Hey...Spielberg's first movie, made for TV...Duel...features a circa 1970 Plymouth Valiant being chased down by an early 60s Peterbuilt. Good flick!

I owned one of the last slant sixes in the form of a '78 Plymouth Volare "Duster". Great dirt road car.

Plymouth. They don't make 'em no more. My first car was a 1959 Plymouth Savoy with a "toilet seat" on the trunk. Anyone got a pic?

I really love all the formerly mentionned cars except the (sorry) ugly red Mercedes.

I also particularly like these ones:

The claustrophobic, paranoid thriller THROTTLE plays out like a confined version of Spielberg's DUEL. Tom Weaver is about to return home after a day at work as a financial analyst. He descends into the large, multi-tiered parking garage of his corporate offices, but discovers that his car will not start. What's more, the exits are locked and the elevators are shut down. But he has little time to ponder over this turn of events, as a large truck and its ruthless driver follow him around the levels of the suffocating garage attempting to do away with him. As Tom runs and hides from this psychotic trucker, he ponders who could possibly be trying to kill him, and wonders whether there is any chance for him to escape.

That's exactly it, Trip, except mine was yellow, like the taxi cabs in It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad Mad Mad World.

Milk-box six and a three-on-the-tree. I must have fuckked my girlfriend a thousand times in the front AND back seat. My dad sold it out from under me, and a local football jock destroyed it in a county fair demolition derby.

Thanks for posting that photo!

Ahh, the good ol' Citreon 2CV. My wife's sister drove one of these when she was teaching in England.

One day she swerved to miss a cow, and went into a ditch. Four husky farmhands came by, picked up the car, and put it back on the road. Try that with a GTO...

Probably the best looking American car of 1967. Catalinas were nice, too.

(Catalina! Catalina!)

Those were the days GM could do no wrong...

Here's a 71 Buick Riviera I bought a few years ago and have been restoring. These pictures are old. It's a little further along with stock rallys.

In the movie Thunderbolt and Lightfoot, Clint Eastwood and Jeff Bridges steal a boattail Riv, and that back window winds up getting shot out. Cool movie also featuring an early 70s Trans AM and great footage of an unmolested early 50s "James Dean" Mercury going the distance. George Kennedy bad-guy, too...

Thanks rope. That movie was one of the reasons I started looking for a boattail.

The point is, Jim Rockford drove a golden second-generation Pontiac Firebird Espirit...and he drove it very aggressively. The Trans Am just wasn't his style.

First generation Monte Carlo is the classiest...but the second gen...(mid-Seventies)...now that's kitsch!

Photo please!
