A copy of the email I just sent to VaultMeister:
~~~~~~~
I hope I am writing to the right person.
I have just purchased "Uncle Meat" ... or at least I
thought I had...
I have been very excited to purchase and hear a Zappa
album I am not yet familiar with. 'Uncle Meat' was a
perfect candidate. Times are tough for me, 2 months
worth of layoffs this year and mouths to feed,
*SPAM* to pay.
I scrounged up the $18.00 for this CD, went out and
bought it, and upon listening to disc 1, I realize
that I have just bought "Freak Out" which I am VERY
familiar with.
The label says "Uncle Meat" but the music don't.
Disc 2 is fine, but to listen to it now would ruin the
continuity of the album.
This was my big excitement for the month, and nothing
against 'Freak Out', but this is highly disappointing.
They only had one copy of this thing, so now what?
The name of the store, if it matters, is Media Play,
here in St. Cloud, Minnesota.
Is this a rarity, an isolated incident... or a problem
with the pressing that you have heard about already?
Either way, I really want to fix this, and hear this
album.
By the way, Many Thanks to FZ, you and ZFT for all of
the great music over the years...
If you ARE the wrong person, can you please forward
this to the right one?
Thanks,
=====
Alan/ Tangento
www.tangento.net
~~~~~~~

Has anyone else encountered this kind of weird screw-up?

???
