I plan on watching the game with my kids and even possibly my wife...a FAMILY thing, ya know? Our own little Super Bowl party...mainly because we're all too sick to go out anywhere or have anyone else over...

Anyway, I'm going with the Raiders, even though they destroyed my beloved Jets (it's an AFL thing I guess) and even though I probably can't name a single current player...uh...Kenny "The Snake" Stabler's the QB, right? And he's gonna be passing to Fred Biletnikoff, correct?

I don't care about football, but I'll be watching the game. Reasons being:

a) The Dixie Chicks are singing the National Anthem

after which I would have turned it off, except that

b) our friends can't get the TV station up on the mountain where they live, so they're coming over to watch it on cable.

I like hockey. ;)

And he's gonna be passing to Fred Biletnikoff, correct?[/quote]Yeah, they wish...But I guess I'll go with them as well, since they are almost a new version of the '72 Redskins 'over the hill gang' -In sports I always like to root for the old guys

I have two chances to win $150, the pool pays off at halftime and at the final score, so conceivably I could win $300.00

I'll watch for a while. I'm wanting to see the Ozzy Pepsi Twist commercial. It's scheduled for the second slot. Ozzy has a dream that Jack and Kelly have been transformed into Donny & Marie Osmond and Sharon has turned into Florence Henderson.

After that, I'll probably watch it until Futurama comes on.
Don't give a flying fuck about football since I left college. I used to be able to watch it but EVERYTHING is sponsored now. Granted, I was in the band so I was at the games and in the stands, but now on t.v. you can't see an instant replay without it being sponsored by Doritos or Tampax. I mean, do we need a Verizon Wireless logo pointing to the line of scrimmage? Shut the fuck up and hit each other.

Yep, I'm going to watch it. I'm not a fan of either team, but I'll probably root for the 49ers since I'm not a fan of Ray Lewis.

See, that's not right, since Jay Cutler will never get close to one. Unless he's a backup.

I was born in SF,so it's Niners fer sure.
There's something about Ray Lewis (no relation) and him turning states evidence againt two other guys for a murder all three of them were responsible for that bothers me.Where I'm from that's a rat, stooly, pigeon and a worm who will say,do and apparently kill anything to get what he wants.
He also talks to 'his god',which I find strange too.I'd be rooting for Baltimore because it's Frank's birthplace, but with the Niners playing and Ray Lewis' bad karma,no way, that would be like sooo beastie, like barf out,you know?

I do hope it's a good close game and not some kind of blowout. They look evenly matched on paper,it should be a good game.

Totally.

He fake teared up when they were playing the anthem before the Patriots game. Ugh.

That's just the over/under. People bet whether the actual total of the two teams scores will be below or above the points given.

I think San Fran is favored to win.
