It's good to be back in California again...but I'm having to re-learn how to drive! 99 is a circus!

I don't know how long I'll be here, but I'm trying to make it permanent. The way the work is going so far, I reckon I'll be here a while.

Hey...are those whores out on the sidewalk, or is that just how womens dresses out here?!

So you told them it was 20 and it's really 5?

As you may or may not know, back in St. Louis I was living in my sister's basement and dating the beach bunny. She's been wanting to get back to Orange county, so when smooth-talking Dave offered me this gig in Fresno, I jumped on it, even though I had my doubts as to whether or not the little blue sports coupe was up to the trip.

Maybe Salinas is next, who knows? Vacaville, for sure...

...hey wait a minute, MTF...is that some sort of subtle xenophobic/racist jab at questionably legal immigrants from south of the border? Let me assure you, I am one-hundred percent Americano, and I have paid my fair share of California taxes during the twenty or so years I lived in the Bay Area. This state doesn't owe me a damn thing, but I'm going to do what I can to stay...because Midwestern weather is a downright bummer.

This place is worse than the last time I was out here three months ago.

Can't walk out of a Walgreen's without someone hitting you up for change.

All up 99...Merced, Modesto.

WTFuck?

Wait a minute...who's the pResident?

Hey Rope,Fresno State is a great place to girl watch. Then you got the Kern River and Sequoia/Kings Canyon National Parks and the whole Sierras Nevada Mtn.range as your big back yard. The ho's be down in Bakersfield, but I'm sure if you try there must be some in Fresno too.Why would you go to Vacaville? (cow=vaca) Unless you have a relative in the Medical Correctional Institute there or something like that.If you do get up this way and wanna do a late lunch,I'll buy.I'll also show you one of the best young women watchin' spots in this big valley! UCD and close by.Anyway your close enough to go to The Crest DZpZ shows in Sac.now.So that's cool.We try and get a room close by and your welcome to join us if you want. They just played there so it's gonna be awhile until they're back. It's great fun!
I've sorta got long hair,so the homeless only ask me for smokes and I don't smoke ciggies anymore. That and I look right through them,so no problemo for me. It's bad though,Plook and I were running into speed freaks at 3-4 am walkin' back to the hotel after a DZpZ gig. They didn't want help....they wanted money for dope! Alot of people sleeping in doorways n' stuff, but not quite as bad as when they close another shelter! It's always sad to see a family living on the street or outta a car.El Bummo.
BTW,Don't even stop in Stockton.Murder capital of the state.Modesto's not much better.I don't get down to Merced often, though I imagine it's about the same.{-

Actually I have been trying to get signed up for the Disaster Relief Team, you have to be ready at all times to deploy anywhere in the world with in 24 hours. But that would mean I was coming due to a disaster so I'm not sure if you would be up for lunch or a dinner....

Any kind of disaster relief aid should aim at getting rid of our politicians...

Hey I don't know how long I'll be around...maybe another week. All those towns you mentioned KaptKirk...I been working in, all up and down 99. Shit's considerably crazier than when I lived out here ten years ago. I'm too old and paranoid for this place, I reckon.

Yep, though there is some nice scenery. Can't see it from here, but I hope I get time to take a short side-trip.

The womens out here be the best, 'specially the white womens! They all dumpy and ugly back in STL. I be gawking too much out here. I'm a gawking motherfucker out here. Gawd.

Seriously, though, my brothers, the homeless beggars are not quaint. It's really fucking sad what some folks are reduced to, and I just wonder what the fuck and how far am I from that?

Hey thanks for the lunch offer we'll see what transpires this week. I'll probably go to Vacaville to visit my ex.
