My son has a friend spending the night. They are in game land, and I'm about to go pick up a pizza. Listening to Zappa. Life is good, at the moment. 8)

At least I'm not you know who ... I'm just a real fan of Frank Zappa - as opposed to an imaginary one. And, I'm a whole lot else that seems to be going quite well for me at the moment ... I'm a lucky bastard. Touching wood on such occasions is a superstition and I subscribe to the modern biological scientific theory of evolution, which may leave no room for superstition but none the less can explain its efficacy ... so here's looking at you kid. ... <touches wood> ...

The movie? Poor acting.

It's been uncovered that flour treatment agent L-cystein, is usually imported here from China, and there it's often made from human hair.
Fortunately I bake my own bread!

Way back when that book "The Lucky Country" was written, it really was a lucky country. It may still be a better place to live than some but the fucking powers that be through their obsequious Liberal sycophants have dragged employment law back a hundred years and introduced a whole bunch of welfare state cutbacks. We're not a banana republic yet but it's visible on the horizon.

Note to Americans: In OZ, the political Liberal party has no connection or similarity with Liberals in the US. The Liberals are the conservatives here - they paint themselves as radical but not in the usual sense but in the sense one would say cutting someone's arm off because they had a nasty boil on their elbow was radical. They're a bunch of cunts.

The sun is up,
The sky is blue,
She's got a beautiful body,
But ya gotta double bag her face.
So Mr. Rude-pants,
Won't you come out to play?

I've found a new band to know and love... AND they're all still alive, AND they're still in their original ensemble after 14 years, AND they're still active, AND they're getting better and better, AND they'll have a new album out this year, AND I just can't get tired of Vinushka.

Compost garden going in. :)

Image

Top layer regular compost.
Hay
Thinner layer 60% herbavore manure / 40% compost.
Bottom layer Lucerne hay (hay in molasses to get the engine going first year).

Planting dense and mixed. Dense to cut off real estate and light for weeds, and mixed to confuse pests. Build it once, then just keep adding regular household compost thereafter... hopefully in a few years the engine will be running and the garden will be self-seeding in heaven(ly soil). :)

Swiss chard
spring onions,
tomatos,
parsley,
tomatos
snow peas
beans
broccoli
zhuchinnihoweveruspellit
squash
peppers
markot (carrots)
and maybe some other stuff.

The speakers shine out from the front porch, about 20 feet (7m) apart, onto the garden area :) Yup we had Zappa out there, building it right, (and Eric Burdon. and BB King so far).

So that's always fun :)
