When I signed up Monday night, I was #9 of 9 (including the admin). Now there are 135. Very cool.

I'm not sure. It was easy for me cuz there were only 9 signed up at the time. I think if you go to the members list and click on View All Members, it lists them in the order they signed up. This is just a guess.

I joined the forum on my birthday - Aug 21st. I too had been checking up the status of my FZ:OZ order. I had gotten used to the shite state of the old site. It was so awful and had been falling apart for so long that I began to fondly regard it as a destination in my browser that would continue to resolutely resist the call to change, no matter what.

I got the shock of my life when I saw the new site, that such a big effort had been made...I'm getting too excited now. Anyway I was just posting to say that the FORUM is based on a cool 1MB piece of open source code available from http://www.yabbforum.com/

I think it's so cool that the community we have here has sprouted from such a tiny initial download. Even cooler still, I thought, that this organic of our musings, enthusiasm etc is stored someplace on a webserver which quietly goes about its business in a datacentre someplace all the time not knowing what's going on in its innards.

Back when this site was only a guestbook, does anyone remember the person who had a psychic parrot that spoke of an earthquake which would open the earth up under the vault and digest it's contents?
They said they were from New Zealand.
