I did fairly well this year. Here's what I got:

Albums:
The Amps - Paces
Circus Devils - Pinball Mars
Sloan - Parallel Play

DVDs:
Blood Simple
The Seventh Seal (Criterion)
Mystery Science Theater 3000: 20th Anniversary Edition (in limited edition tin case with lobby cards and Crow figurine)

Books:
The Tin Drum by Gunter Grass
Welcome to the Monkey House by Kurt Vonnegut
Perfect from Now On: How Indie Rock Saved My Life by John Sellers

I also got a pair of shoes that are a size too big for me that I'll need to exchange, some pajama pants, a shirt, a Best Buy gift card, and more than enough money to cover the emergency replacement cell phone purchase I had to make last weekend.

Nothing. Unless you count that Rubik's Revolution I won two days ago with a Donald Duck Contest.

Amazon gift certificates to feed my cd habit, and one of these little sony's to record my instructors so I don't have to try to write notes fast while they're talkin, (it records to mp3 for easy cd making to playback in the car later):

David Glimour's "Live in Gdansk", Evil Dead II, The Kite Runner (book), a Dark Knight poster (And the film on Sunday), some Zune stuff (car charger/radio transmitter, and a cover), and a "The Office" trivia board game that's hard as hell.

Haven't gotten all my Christmas presents yet. Will not finish until I gets me back home for the family thing. Got a couple of books that I really wanted. A very nice symbolic present which unfortunately I cannot take home with me. Had a classy dinner which was oh so good. Am where I want to be, which is a real big present. Lots of welcomes, lots of hugs. Having a quiet ordinary morning, a respite in the midst of change. All in all a very good Christmas!

My combined birthday and Xmas haul contained a lovely red 8GB iPod nano, and a Swatch Skin watch. Plus the following music:

Miles Davis - The Complete In A Silent Way Sessions
Earth - Hex; Or Printing In The Infernal Method
Sunn O))) and Boris - Altar
Lou Reed - Ecstasy
Luna - Pup Tent
Shivkumar Sharma - Sampradaya (replacing a crappy minidisc copy)

and the usual stuff: liquorice allsorts, selection box, Viz annual, Oor Wullie annual.

I did rather well actually. I got a big light box for my artwork and a nurses watch fob thingy for my new Uni course, from Mr Asp and the kids. Make-up and leather gloves from parents, marvellous "Letters of Groucho Marx" book from friends, and lots of sweeties!!!

-an assortment of Scottish beer from my brother
-a massaging carseat device that puts my legs to sleep from my sister
-Gift cert. for Marks Work Warehouse from my Dad - which I gave to my wife as Marks inventory tends to favour ladies' office wear over just about anything I'd wear...although I was intrigued yet leery of the popular new Bamboo Underpants. "Ve haf vays off makink you talk! You vill know ze agony off ze Y-fronts jammed unter ze finkernails!"
-a hand-carved skull with horns & 'Bass for Dummies' book from my wife
-DVD's- 'Ice Age & Ice Age 2', 'Russell Peters Live'
-a dinky little mig welder, a Son House cd, a Mingus cd and a bottle of single malt from me to me (I know me so well)

And now to sit back and wait for the visa bill to come crashing through the front of the house like the KoolAid guy "OH YEAH!"
